I'll never understand how this didn't immediately start a civil war between the factions. Like, you can't have us doing all this shit to save X'era and further the cause, and then just have Illidan kill her because -muh rage-. Yeah she tried purifying him to return him to his original state, but it's not like Illidan had to straight up kill what is essentially a god of the Light. Paladins and Priests crying everywhere.

I hope blizzard leaves Illidan alone forever. His storyline is perfect and having him just chill as the jailor of Sargeras is a perfect point to end it at, I really wouldn't want to see them re-visit and (probably) ruin Illidan's character like they did with Arthas. But knowing Blizzard, Sargeras will come back in some way and with him back we need Illidan again so see you in the future when my comment turns into reality.

I will never get over how the exarchs are all chill with him destroying a holy being of light and we get scolded for ever hating illidan, but Kael'thas gets twice retconned and still emasculated like an afterthought. :cuts herself again: lol God help me

I think watching this especially with Turalyon now in charge of the Alliance is interesting and it might very well link into the next expansion, Dragonflight.
