If you want to decrease the pace of deforestation, stop buying products containing palm oil. All candy bars: Snickers, Twix, Mars, etc. contain it. Look at the back side of package, if there is at least a mention of -palm-, just choose other product. If you wanted candy bar, just take chocolate and nuts instead. The idea is not a -healthy diet-, eat sugar as much as you want, just don't buy palm oil-containing products. Moreover, be aware that many chocolate bars also contain palm oil, like Milka and others, that add -caramel sauce- to it. Also, almost all cookies contain palm oil, all low-cost cakes and bakery. Unfortunately it is true, that 50% of what we have in grocery store contains palm oil. But each of us can add at least small difference, by substituting palm oil-containing products.
