Nathan Seidle-s wife gave him this already locked safe as a gift with no combination. Weird present, but he loves a good challenge. So he built a safecracking robot

Guys I have an idea to invent a robot to do this too. All I gotta do is put the safe on the safe cracking platform, and turn on the robot to execute its command. This in turn will lower a hydraulic press precisely on the door of the safe, just as the robot intended. It seems flawless, I know, any suggestions for improvements are welcome, like a robot that turns on the press would be great and all, but maybe one that turns it off?

3: 35 the issue is, it's a product you buy. It's not software. It doesn't get periodic updates you can just download. Flaws found out are flaws that every current owner of the product has to actively be worried about. They can't just update their safe. They would need to buy another safe hoping the new one doesn't have the same flaws. And if their current safe has not stopped functioning, they wouldn't buy the new one.

Weird how the voice-over has no idea (or just blatantly ignores) what the interviewee just states and that the things he says get ignored and contradicted right after he says it. Also the text writer ignores the key facts. 'A million combinations'? Didn't he say primarily 33x33x33=32, 967, but actually only 33x33? And that would 'take four months'? Didn't he say 10 seconds per combination they try?

Make safes better! AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA just look at companies like master lock who have thousands of people showing them the exploits of there locks, alot of them simple fixes. But master lock refuses to fix them, new lock comes out, same exploit works. To fix that exploit would cost master lock money. Same thing with these cheap safe companies.

This is awesome. I actually came across this video because I am working on pretty much the same project to get into my safe that I forgot the combination to. It just happens to be the exact same model as the one you demonstrated with. I'm glad to see it's a concept capable of working. Cheers!

As a safeman of 43 years experience, yes, it is possible to manipulate like this. Is it practical? Rarely. I could have drilled open and repaired 3 of those safes in the time it took him. And with no evidence that it had been done.

Kudos to robot builder, but a seriously misleading title with a missing asterisk: -with the help of exploiting multiple vulnerabilities. Oh well. A safe-cracking robot on par with the Rubik's Cube solving robot is still out there.

They already know how to deal with this. The government updated the regulations for classified data safes long ago to avoid this attack. You can get a totally secure safe if you want to spend the money. Nobody does.

Plot Twist: In the safe were pictures of his wife cheating on him with an army of black men and positive pregnancy tests; she thought he would never open it, but wanted to feel like she told him the truth.

He wrote all that code and built the bot for just that type of safe model and only other models alike having that vulnerability in the spinning lock mechanism.
