4: 07 -the inspiration for the skull crawlers came from cubone- a friggin Pokemon
yep. but people freak out if you say the turtle at the beginning was a unofficial nod to Gamera. Hahaha. This movie was filled with nods to other shows and movies, which are not properties of Legendary.

Going for the second time manana. Mostly for the amazing chopper sequence, and Sam Jackson. Makes you curious about this young director, no? He got just the right stuff. Is he an animator himself? Artist? Effects guy?

one of my favorite little details is in the scene where Kong plucks the tree. in the movie Kong had recently been burnt by flames and the fur around his legs is curled (fur curls when it comes in contact with flames)

This movie looks like a giant excuse to produce awesome vfx. That skull crawler looks very similar to that water monster with a pincer tail from the 3rd Riddick movie. Still looks like a fun project though

one of the worst monster movies I have ever seen in my life. and I have watched a LOT of movies. the only scene that is really great is the -Bi. ch, please! - moment. that was glorious

Toby Kebbell actually wasn't Kong in the film. He was on board as a motion capture consultant, but his Planet of the Apes co-star Terry Notary did the actual motion capture for Kong.

Skullcrawler is my least favourite creature in the movie. I wish there were more of those spiders and we never got to see the giant ants that John C Reilly mentioned.

We just had Academy Award-Winning VFX Artist Rick Shick on our show, he had some great insight with over 3 decades of experience in the VFX industry. #gentscofflaw

In kong there was some CGI moments that I was like wow that looks good and a bunch where it looked so fake I don't think this movie is gonna age well at all

Old movies suffered from bad CGI.
New movies suffer from bad storyline, bad direction, lack of originality, remakism, generic music. basically everything.
