I see a lot of wishful thinking in the comments. Just because we invented flight and faster than sound flight, doesn't mean we'll invent FTL. Yes, Alcubierre warp drive and wormholes are theoretically compatible with the laws of physics (as in, mathematical solutions to Einstein's field equations, but there's a reason wormholes aren't naturally occurring phenomenon. The ridiculous, insane energy requirements for an Alcubierre drive is not a joke (basically a black hole in the energy tank, lol, and while they're trying to calculate less insane energy requirements and the use of baryonic matter instead of negative or exotic matter, it's all just numbers at this point it's never going to happen because if we invented FTL, it would break the universe, so FTL is basically not allowed by the laws of physics. But let's say we invented FTL. At that speed, even scarce hydrogen atoms in vacuum will be deadly. So not only would you need a super force field that also adds to the already crazy energy requirements, the force field wouldn't be of any help if you flew into an Earth-like planet or a star, black hole and other celestial objects. At that speed, you wouldn't have any control whatsoever to steer away from an incoming asteroid. Moreover, FTL is basically a time machine, because when you go faster than light, you're actually traveling into the past. So it's one thing to invent an air plane, and it's a completely different ballpark to invent a time machine. The laws of physics prohibit time travel due to paradoxes and other weird space-time issues that would arise from time travel. And how would you slow down at that insane speed anyway? lol
That said, I enjoyed this What If clip.

The inhabitants of paradise will take part in incredible activities like traveling through the galaxies in the new universe through their immortal glorious bodies. A body similar to the body of the risen Christ and its new capacities. They will be like the angels of God in heaven (Mark 14: 25. They will build houses, they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit (Isaiah 65: 21.
For behold, I am creating new heavens and a new earth, and those before them shall be remembered no more, neither shall they come into the heart (Isaiah 65: 17. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. The quality has changed. Thus, the new heaven and the new earth will be like our new nature (2 Corinthians 5: 17.
It is by faith we understand that the universe was harmoniously organized by the word of God, and thus the visible world originated from the invisible (Hebrews 11: 3. It is God who stretches the north of the sky over the void, and who suspends the earth above nothingness (Job 26: 7. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the expanse manifests the work of his hands (Psalm 19: 1. I am the Lord, and there is no other, besides me there is no God. (Isaiah 45: 5. I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty (Revelation 1: 8.

well, If we develop Light speed and Warp, we could hypothetically infinitely increase speed. So, if say Warp 1 is Light speed, Warp 5 could be as much as 5000 light speed and warp 10 as high as 1 million. If we could go farther we could reach speeds as high as 1 Quintillion light speed, which is so fast, we would reach places like keplar in seconds, or even less. If we could go even farther than that and reach say, 1 Decillion or 1 Vigintillion Light speed, we could possibly cross our entire Universe in mere seconds, or minutes, depending on the actual size. We could even possibly break into other Universes depending on if they even exist or if its even possible to break out of our own Universe. The amount of Energy needed for these hypothetical speeds however might be more than our entire Universe contains. However, reaching the lower speeds of light or 10x light, might be easier than we think, and we could see these speeds by the end of the Century, if we're lucky

I hate to burst anyone's bubble here but. I believe the speed of light will never be possible, even if I was proven wrong and it was achieved, it would still take a 1000 generations to make it to other galaxies because light is simply to slow. Our best bet is to colonize other planets within or own solar system and then hopefully one day we're able to achieve artificial gravity and then from there we build huge ships in space. We would also need a self contained ecosystem within our gravity filled ships that would supply us with water and food because the long voyages of 30 thousand to a million plus years on these vessels zipping across space at a snails pace would be needing that. but don't worry, time will tell all, after all we still have about 5 billion years before our sun depletes it's fuel and then the place we call home will be a cold barren wasteland. Hopefully by then we have the technology for these long voyages or its Game Over for all of us!

If we really obtained faster than light travel. Everyone who leaves basically would have no point in ever wanting to return right? because of the time issue? Basically life as they knew it and records of their existence would surely vanish after hundreds of thousands of years yes?
I feel like there-d be such a large passage of time on earth compared to those first groups who left at faster than light travel that subsequent groups could possibly be different types of humans all together, or evolved. Maybe the aliens are us?
Maybe life on earth was one of the first few worlds we spread out to, but so much time has passed on our actual origin world we don-t even look like the way we used to. ---

It is NEVER EVER going to be as simple to travel between the stars as going for a joyride. Even if we ever circumvent special relativity, interstellar travel will never be commonplace. The expenditure of advanced technology will be limited by economics (even socialist economics) such that such voyages will be limited to a one-way trip. Everything that we have learned about the universe tells us that it is constructed in a way to limit such travel. It may become technically possible by spatial distortion, but that does not mean that it will be as simple as our wishful thinking would make it seem.

Sorry but with the rarity of able and ambitious scientists working now and in next generations I'm almost certain the likelihood of us making it off earth to a habitable planet is only deteriorating more than increasing. Humanity is not willing to change it's self destructive tendencies and the effort interstellar colonization is going to need will be nothing less than FULL teamwork and cooperation of the world's greatest minds of this generation and even more from the next ones. -Change my mind, please do.

Fun Fact: Even if we developed the energy and technology to travel the speed of light (and beyond)
We'd still need a navigation system that can perform its duty at the speed of light. The navigation system would need to include a suite of sensors capable of detecting the smallest of foreign particulates just as fast.
Colliding with a single grain of sand at the speed of light is theorized to be more devastating than a nuclear warhead

Now figure out if we can use black holes to transfer matter and how to make synthetic black holes that we can control humans are holding themself back because they fear what the will find humans need to have a sort of base laws that they have understanding of. Unfortunately they will not make it unless the human kind can learn to eradicate greed the only way for humans to succeed is by working together and humans are far from that

This is the way to go because based from my understanding, the people inside the warp bubble doesn't get affected by TIME DILATION because you are not moving at all. Lightspeed alone without the bubble will cause you to age slower from observer perspective and you might end up returning and humans are already extinct or evolved into a new one.

Sobering to realize that even traveling at 8, 760x the speed of light it would take a decade to traverse the diameter of the Milky Way. Which is merely one galaxy of maybe 2 trillion. Oh and the universe is expanding anyway. Even theoretical wonder technology from future millennia can-t make universal exploration a possibility

A comment you made in the video is the biggest problem and why, once we get to this point we will likely fail. Miserably! -Once we figure this out, we can start our cosmic conquest. - What happens to us the first advanced civilization we run into? They may not like the attitude that we are out to conquer anything!

Even if we could only get to. 99c it would still dramatically change space-travel forever. The closest stars would still be in reach within a human lifetime thanks to time dilation (although your friends and family might have been dead for ages once you return.

Presumably if you were warping space, then if you encountered any debris, it would be swept up by the edge of the bubble and have static movement relative to your ship, so collisions wouldn't be an issue. It'd be safer than driving a car at 60mph.

we don't even know what's in 4/5 of our planets ocean and people seriously believe it is impossible to achieve things like this. We have so much to learn and create a a civilisation, we are babies. Homo sapiens came around only 300, 000 years ago.

But if we could cause time dialation to effect us then we can travel for thousands of years without even spending a second. Cz time will stop for us. In other words we will be traveling faster than time rather than travelling faster than light

The fastest speed in star trek is 108, 000, 000x FTL. That can get to the Andromeda Galaxy in just 8 days. Don-t think I stole this from the FTL Race by Reigarw Comparisons, I calculated the time myself.

We need gravity and Anti gravity in huge amount to curve the space. Like the mass of Jupiter. and it's out of the question
May be after 1000/2000 years future People can find the solution
