There's just nothing like 'being there' that will ever make a better and more honest
page of history; as a genuine lover of 'yesterdays', - I can only wish that I could have truly experienced much more of it - truly 'understanding' many things is-just different, it really is, - when you were actually 'there' for some written account or 'event' in history.
This world, community, society, or our whole culture - much of 'understanding-life' was just simply altogether different, - and the further I turn-back the pages, - 'change' is no longer simple or just different - many 'differences' or 'changes' in our lives have become 'radical' or even revolutionary. Really understanding something sometimes is simply NOT a mere analysis, - there plainly are just some things that simply cannot EVER be really understood without a real 'experience' of them.
Someone should write a book about just 'changes' in America since 1945, -
an incredible number of differences. - or all-around as-well-as specific change within life-in-America just since then!
It has been truly amazing, and a far better history- lesson than a page from ANY book could EVER be.
You may think that so-much has changed or is just-different now from only 20 years ago - 30 or even 40 years back! - That is truly nothing with a look back of even a-little longer.
The changes from 1980 to 2020 are MUCH less than only the 20 years which preceded 1980! - an incredible amount of change.
If 'life in America' were a movie, - colorization or technical change, some changes in roles or change among the actors or even some changes to the over-
all script, - are all minor or minuscule when the whole plot or even the whole theme of the movie has changed - even the venue or the entire movie itself is altogether different!
I suppose if 'Life in America' were a term paper, I would have gotten
a-big-fat - 'F'.

1971 was one of the best years of my life and childhood! :) (I was 8 years old)
It was an exciting, and fun time for an 8 year old me, I discovered science, learned about the moon and planets, played with Science related toys/kits/projects, I went to my 1st summer camp, went camping in a camper a few times, stayed in the mountains in a family cabin and played in the river, road in a jeep on a farm, went snowmobiling, played with cows in a cow pasture, and played in the little creek that ran through the property, had a blast on a big wheel all summer, ALL at a time when PEOPLE WERE PEOPLE! And, ALL of this in Oregon! GREAT times! :)

What if D. B. Cooper just acted like he parachuted out the back and actually just threw a little money out the back to fall to the ground to throw of his search and make it look like he was deceased but really stowed himself away in a hidden compartment or small cramped space not searched and just snuck away after the plane had landed been searched.

Another 1971 Fact: Berry Gordy, the founder of the legendary Motown label that made Diana Ross and the Supremes, The Jackson 5, Martha and the Vandellas and Marvin Gaye, didn't like the What's Going On album when Marvin pitched the concept to him, but Marvin proved Gordy wrong when he recorded the album and it became a success.

These shows are great. I was born in the early seventies and can remember so many of these events. It was an incredible time to be alive. America had changed so much. It was the end of an old America and the beginning of a new one.

Whats amazing about this video is the fact that my dad was only 2-3 years old, my mom about 4-5. It gives me some insane perspective, but damn do I wish I grew up in the 70s!
