I’m sorry, but these kinds of videos are just teaching people to be players, whether or not that’s their intent, either way it’s not stopping them from being desperate if that’s the reason they are testing these tricks.
I would suggest being yourself, and not focusing too much on your messages.
Instead, if you’ve got something to get done, then get it done. If not, try finding something to do in the meantime, if you’re still waiting for a response. Don’t send basic messages that you feel will inevitably waste your time, and the other person’s time. Just say what you want to say, and get it out of the way. This way, they at least know what you’re trying to talk about, so they know they aren’t wasting their time if they reply, and that they’re not gonna suffer through small talk.
This is mainly from my own experience. I have a friend who likes to send me messages, but all they ever say is my name, and nothing else. I don’t wanna reply because they’ve done this multiple times and I don’t wanna feel forced to have a full conversation when I’ve got other stuff to do, EVEN IF that stuff isn’t necessarily important.

I. must admit that I wanted to watch this video to see if a girl likes me. As someone who identifies in the aro-spectrum I just wanted an answer if my nature was due to fate or my very doctrined education and life long rejection and mobbing.
Now I decided to not watch it. What would change anyway Getting up wrong hopes Screw it. I'll just read a good book or play video games instead. They don't reject me for what I am and they are more fun for less money.

This video misses the mark. The animation features the in person and phone call interactions, but doesn't talk about how to get out of the texting phase. If you're only texting your crush and it's not a long distance, one or both of you has a phone dependency problem. This is not to say push hard for the next step to increase rapport, but you have to leave that box or move on after a certain amount of time.

The thing is I'm not entirely sure if they are my crush or if I'm just making myself feel that way. I always hear about how when your around your crush you get all nervous and how just the slightest touch can send fireworks of joy to your brain but I don't get that.
