Huge regret I have years ago, where a friend of mine was extremely close to me, and she always share her life, as well as texting me I love you, bestie, yet she usually hug me, hold my hand, and lie on my shoulder when she's slightly tired. She had a lot of drama that happened to her, yet she share these to me instead of other female close friends. I myself always had doubts about my looks, and hence just saw all those acts as a friendly gesture. Afterwards, we went our separate ways due to studies, but she was worried about me as I wasn't doing well. Not long after, we kind of just no longer communicate with each other anymore, you could say we lost contact. A year later, it breaks my heart seeing her on multiple occasions looking pretty depressed, yet I didn't got the courage to talk to her, when I got NOTHING to lose. Definitely a regret, will try to do better next time.

I think my crush is showing these signs but they could also be a coincidence.
1. She laughs at all my jokes.
2. She was leaned towards my side. -She didn't do that before.
3. She sat a seat closer to me in class.
-Back when we first met and had to do a class discussion, she remained in her own seat but later she would sit next me whenever we had to discuss something in class and not so long ago she sat next to me for a discussion and remained there. I need help I can't read signs
4. I was looking at her for some seconds and later found her smile. Not sure if that is a coincidence.
5. We stared at each other for four seconds while smiling and she later said bye afterwards with a smile.
6. I found her twirling her hair from time to time. Not if she does it because look at her or if it is a habit.

I wish you were here I'm so glad I met you you make my life better don't leave, staying on a call for a literal month straight, not muting when going to sleep i dont do it on purpose(does it most nights, then talking about her sleep talking. hearts every time we say goodnight, loads of flirty jokes. Then I tell her that I like her, and I get rejected I always thought of it as a joke, being friendly and cute. in a game, when I was trying to talk to a woman, she pulled me away mid-conversation to go to the bathroom together (in a game lol, but still I don't know any friend that would do that. this was a few weeks ago, and can kinda see some as not serious, but all of them together and how much it was, I'm not sure if she was leading me on, or if she was just REALLY friendly.

A lot of these behaviours can be attributed to girls who admire their male friends and respect them, but don't necessarily want a relationship with them. Some girls are naturally flirty by nature as well. As a man, you can meet a girl who straightens her appearance, changes her behaviour, say that you're amazing, compliment you all the time, but still despite all of that doesn't want to be anything more than just friends. That's not playing games, they just enjoy that kind of platonic relationship with men and if the man catches feelings, that was not her intent despite men being starved for that kind of female attention.
I wish it were simple and we could just check against a list of 10 things, but it just isn't that easy.
