I started getting anxiety along with major depression because then my mom left to go deal with her addiction and my dad was treating me like I was the most burdening thing it the world and I couldnt deal with it anymore and my mom felt the closest thing I had to taking care of me even though she went to rehab 10 times I still believed in her and she made it but she had to go back for some reason and idk why and when she left the 9th time everything spiraled out of control my grandparents lost their nibors coffee in Brodheadsville in a trailer by imagination zone bc the landlord wanted it to be a dunkin trailer then they lost the one on 611 because the landlord wanted real plumbing and not just a porta potty so customers wouldnt be disgusted and I freaking ended up crying all night because I went to help my mom there every freaking day and now it just sits there they only have one place left its right next to the dunkelbergers by ShopRite and like I said its called nibors coffee Im glad its still there

I'm finally gonna be getting help for my anxiety soon. Its nothing too bad, mainly social. But when mixed with my adhd and ocd it becomes a cocktail of NOT FUN. (kinda a pun, you'll see in a sec) It impacts my work pretty bad tho, I work as a bartender (you get the pun) and barely being able to talk to customers hecking sucks. I usually have to rely on others to greet customers when they walk in, or to answer the phone, or to take orders. Not to mention small talk with patrons at the bar. I used to be able to just have a drink or two behind the bar and it would mello my anxiety out a bit but we just put in force a no drinking while working policy. I was even considering micro dosing weed or shrooms to help my anxiety but I cant risk having stuff in my system all the time, plus its expensive. I've ended up just going to my gp and getting a mental health evaluation done, now I have booked to see an anxiety specialist in August. YAY!

I, personally, am definitely between the severe and debilitating stage of anxiety, although I feel like my life is currently going into the right direction of anxiety recovery. While only being 17 now, when I was younger - probably beginning at about 9 - I kept nearly vomiting each time I went to restaurants and over the years it actually got worse - peaking on a vacation at 16 where I constantly (and I mean in every second) felt shortness of breath and finally getting a panic attack in a hotelroom.
Since then I've learnt about things like the A W A R E strategy, some breathing exercises and an overall more calm state of mind. I've still been struggling on public transport, but things are, from what I feel like, coming my way. Thanks to whoever read all of this. Not many know this about me but I'm happy to share it here with people that feel the same way. I wish you the best and stay strong

Anxiety is awful and I hate it, it has affected my life to such a high degree, I'm too scared to even make something as simple as a sandwich with simple utensils.
I'm always constantly worried that the knife may somehow get plunged into me, whether it is facing upward or downward. Also like the fork that I cleaned would somehow end up lodged into my eye or something. Always the most worse and gruesome thoughts.
My thoughts are always on whether or not anything around me is safe, leaving my room, to me, is considered hard. It's the only room where I'm alone and safe.
Even typing this now, I feel anxious and tired. This whole time that I've been typing I've been fearful of my own comment. I am so frustrated with this and myself.

I am a living example of varying anxiety. What happens overtime is your physical and mental health take a progressively larger toll. Poor digestion leads to further weakness and complications. Mental health continues to degenerate, reducing the possibility of recovery. At my current stage, I have audio noise (tinnitus, visual noise (snow and floaters in eyes, tunnel vision, blackened vision, visual echo, mind fog, trouble understanding when someone speaks to me, fear without reason and even difficulty moving. I am still able to function, but it gets harder and harder. Don't wait to get help. Take care of yourself.

ive had anxiety my whole life but never realized until about 7 months ago and this made me realize that ive had all of these levels at one point and for me it kinda switches in between from mild to debilitating anxiety and being a teenager it doesnt help that stressful situations are pretty much constant i was trying to find a quiet fidget toy that would be good for my social anxiety that i could use during school but i could t find any that i really liked so if anyone has any recommendations please let me know! sending love to everyone who clicked on this video

The worst part about anxiety and the panic and fear that accompanies it, is that it physically disables the part of your brain associated with reasoning and logic.
So when you're having an anxiety attack, even if you repeatedly tell yourself This is ridiculous and list all the reasonable and logical reasons why you shouldn't feel this way. it doesn't stop. It just keeps going because your own brain is betraying you. You're on the ride of fear and panic and no hope, and there is no getting off it until you run out of energy to be afraid anymore.

I recently moved from Moderate anxiety to severe anxiety and it's tough when your mind just keeps going from one horrible worrying to another one and you can't sleep at all, even in day your mind is not in ease its all hell. it happened to me because peoples gave me trauma and those trauma kicked my brain evry day so as a human being let's make life easier for each other with our behaviour so people don't feel like they have to face so many hard shit evry day when they gets out of their house

To anyone who needs this.
I used to have severe anxiety when I was younger and sometimes it would be so bad I wouldnt leave my room that day. I tried breathing techniques but nothing seemed to change. But I just want to say now, It does get better eventually. Even if you feel it wont go away, trust me it does, it just takes time. I watched videos like this and now I would say Im more at a mild/moderate stage now. Just remember, and keep this in mind: Itll get better, just stay strong! :)

I hate my life, and i hate my anxiety. And i am so so tired of this everyday running from it just knowing i cant get away. Im so tired. I literally feel insane and i cant take it anymore. I just wish it would go away forever or at least get a few days of a break its been 10 years since its been severe generalized anxiety. I need another psych stay or something. if you have any tips for anxiety besides stuff about breathing, please. Send them my way.

Anxiety here at home runs in the family (as well as depression, after all, they are diseases, and my brother ended up developing cardiac arrhythmia because of anxiety, I believe I'm on this path and I want to be able to start treatment as soon as possible, I thought I was going to be able to get out of this on my own, but it's been 3 or 4 years and things are only getting worse, the family environment isn't favorable either. :/
reply

I think I have mild anxiety co-existing with my severe depression. I often start feeling anxious all of a sudden even if nothing's happening, and my self-harm thoughts, as usual, keep on 'telling me' to cut myself on my arm. I also have difficulty breathing normally whenever I start feeling anxious like this, my breathing becomes shallower and rapid and I can't take full breaths, let alone full, not even half the normal breaths.

I think I have anxiety but not on a severe level but the problem is that i'm 14 so who is gonna belive me when I say so?
One day I tried to explain to my mum and introducind the argument slowly then saying something like i may have anxiety mum and she said no you don't and that hurt pretty bad. How am I supposed to realize if I really have this problem or not if even my family doesn't belive it

reply

When people find out that I am suffering from anxiety, they distance themselves from me and ignore me just because they think it's troublesome to be friends with a anxious person.
I don't wish to be anxious either, it snatches most of the things I deserve and it's hard to make new friends. No one understands a socially anxious person unless they have experienced anxiety.

I believe I have some level of anxiety and the worst thing is when people tell me I'm overreacting or being dramatic. Like it may not be normal for you to have a panic attack when you're slightly behind in you're school or when you're late for class, but it is for me, so you don't have to look at me like I'm a drama queen and tell me to stop panicking. Like, I would if I could!

I was at 5 for years, took me a year or so on 20mg if lexapro and a year of therapy to help overcome it. Im very aware of my nerves now and catch myself slipping into different levels sometimea. I have a panic attack so bad once it made me almost faint. That is EXACTLY how i picture a heart attack to be. I got checked and it was indeed an anxiety attack
reply

I don't know what kind anxiety I have but it's kind of like the DEBILTATING ANXIETY but little bit different I'm saying a little different because I can't move and I cry and I do not do well on the roads or in public with all of people and I can't be myself more than 5 minutes so yeah I don't know what type of anxiety I have but I'm on pills for it.

I have emetophobia, so when my stomach hurts, I get anxious because I think I might vomit, and that makes my stomach hurt more and I start to cry and then I'm exhausted and I want to sleep. The next day I'm fine but when I eat it all starts again. The only person who can calm me is my mom.

I've been watching some videos about anxiety but none of them really describe what im feeling with my anxiety. I mean it's causing strong physical and mental symptoms but its not affecting my life or sleeping schedule so im not actually sure what level of anxiety I have.
reply

I sadly, am almost always at a level 3 and I also do have symptoms of level 4 and 5, like depression, trouble sleeping and so on. But it makes me really irritated when I learn that people purposely make themselves full of anxiety to gain attention.
