I didn't like this episode nearly as much as others since most of your choices were expensive - several being more than a few hundred dollars.
Your previous episodes were good for low risk, impulse buys -- why not order a cool, cheap, reviewed & recommended electronic gadget even if you don't really need it -- what is the downside when the items are only a few dollars.
But how many people are likely to be interested in more niche expensive devices and how many are willing to risk spending serious dollars on a Chinese website which has sketchy merchandise & sellers, along with suboptimal customer service and return policies.
Please go back to rating devices that are $10 and pleasant finds that we can just order and enjoy even if we don't really need them.

Vevor (the company behind the laser level) are excellent for their price to quality ratio, I couldn't recommend them more if you want something cheap(ish/er) but trustworthy that will do the job. Buying directly from their website is usually a fair bit cheaper than buying from Aliexpress too and you can also get great deals from their website sometimes. I got a laser/milling CNC with some of the bells and whistles for $70AU a while back.
Though I am in Australia so this may not be the case for every country as they have some warehousing in AU. Thanks for your service though, Aliexpress is my go-to for cheap stuff direct from China and I've found (and avoided) a lot of things thanks to your video series. Much appreciated from the land down under!

Do buy from Ali Express, I tried to order a product that came to their logistics center unbeknownst to be it was notorious to not care about customer. Long story Short an email is sent to you so you pay for customs then receive your product, i never received one, i called emailed and even asked to get the email sent from known employees there nothing and then Ali express never sent my refund back. Quite impressive they can ship a product world wide but not from a shipment center to your house. Yeah i am giving up on Ali Express after that L

Nice bike reveal
8: 35 that seems practical but we could just buy $5 multimeter tweezers probe and plug that on our LCR meter, then again it's for content, i guess.
12: 43 those are Audiophile power strip (another brand is Weiduka) you don't need that lol, just go build your own DIY line emi filter if you wanted an idea for a new content. again, these are really unnecessary and few of these niche strip could fetch up to insane and outrageous price for some Audiophile brand like ISOTEK or ANSUZ.

Your statement that AliExpress is an online store is tremendously misleading. AliExpress is an aggregator of Chinese companies sales platforms. There area wide variety of qualities of products and AliExpress makes the interface between a completely Chinese speaking and writing company and a wide variety of other languages.
It is an excellent resource allows access to a vast variety of products that would otherwise be unavailable and I use it frequently

Yes it's in China so you would think Chinese people use it to Right No they won't go near it. This is been set up for Westerners only. If you shop there you're a sucker. They lure you with the cheap price and for that you get garbage if you do get a product and have a problem you get garbage customer service for once they got your money it's a one-way door. Enough said if you shop there you're nuts you will eventually get burned

BE WARNED:
I had the weather station and one cap or an LED (I can no longer figure out what it was) build into the side of the display exploded and the whole thing started burning in the middle of the night. Thankfully I had a smoke detector (thank god this is mandatory in German renting homes since about 10 years or so. I found parts of the display about 1 meter away so I can say it exploded.

Lcr meter. you have to adjust the frequency of meassurement. If your big one uses another frequency, the results differ. (And they differ using the tweezer too oc. 100Hz, 1kKz or 10KHz gives different results)
Also I like the low Ohm range (I own it for longer)
Laser. Water isnt that precise because of surface tension. put them side by side and you can see. I would trust more the laser

My recent experience with AliExpress was if it seems too cheap to be true, it definitely is. If a relatively expensive product is priced 1/2 to a 1/4 what everyone else (on Aliexpress) is selling it for, you will put your money down and get a picture hook or an SDS adaptor instead. Fortunately, you can report it and get a refund while you contemplate your naivety.

Induction heater: Don't make it red. It can lose its hardness.
Power strip: The sockets are not tamper-proof (childproof)
13: 26 When you tried to open it looked like you were using PH1 or PZ1 instead of PH2 or PZ2 screw driver.
A tip when choosing screw driver for a star screw: If it look like it should be size one, then you should use size two.

Why does it still irk me that you need to attach a jtag(like device) to a device that already has usb It's like a terrible Xibit joke. Yo dawg, we heard you like USB, so we USBed your USB so you can serial bus while you cereal bus.
Also, in your B roll of the metal detector, it made me giggle that you didn't even bother switching it on.

I was surprised to hear of a product still using the ESP8266. I thought they did not conform with US FCC rules (and presumably other similar international RF communication rules. I may be wrong about that, or I may be underestimating the amount of rule breaking AlieExpress vendors are willing to commit. Probably the latter.

The inductive bolt heaters are great if you have bolts or studs in places that a heat gun or torch would be inappropriate to use. I recently used one for removing studs installed with loctite 270 in irreplaceable very expensive parts with composites bonded in close proximity with great success

If you want displays to display information from home assistant, I would recommend OpenEpaperLink. It gives you a lot of options for battery powered ePaper displays and also works with some LCD displays. And it is nicely integrated into home assistant with a lot of display options.

Handheld induction oven Waaaaaaaaay too cool! It should be able to melt at least some metals, like tin or lead.
The metal detector looks ugly as hell, I would build a nicer prototype, haha.
I first thought the power strip was a UPS, haha! Nice filter, shitty sockets.

Just one comment on adding your own code to the ESP version when it comes. Check if the FW is signed or not. If the ESP in the weather station is configured as secure boot, when you try to add your own SW you might crash it and then you won't be able to recover from it.

The metal detector is not going to work obviously The simplest way to tell the difference kinds of metals is to test them by optical spectrum, because optical spectrum is related to the element atoms themselves, and obviously this can't be done by induction detectors

im so sick of corporations selling us electronics with huge markups when they can be created and sold for prices closer to these items, honestly bravo. im starting to think even some products you should never cheap out on are probably just rip offs as well
