DIY Alarm Bike Lock (Shock Activated) neoholland: Im 36, and i have absolutely no knowledge at all about electronics, but i always love it. You thing its too late for me to learn? I just want to create stuff. Like sequential tail lights. Custom. Digital gauge clusters, electronics for my cars. Arduino type of stuff. I know thats written in C, and i dont know about programming either. So. I'm watching electronic class in youtube, basics. Components and stuff. Can i make projects without all the matematics? Just by knowing like volts, ohms, and suchs and of course know all the parts too like transistors. Mosfets, diodes. And sorry for my bad english. I just want to know if is a loss cause

Dear Mr Scott, i wonder, do u have circuit that auto cut off circuit in low load condition? For example i use pararel the circuit with phone charger, after the charger fully charge the phone, the charger almost have no load, then the circuit will turn it off. Or i use the circuit on my amplifier, when i listen no music on certain of time, the circuit will detect low load on amplifier, then turn it off. I hope a great help. Thank you.

While I do appreciate the basic electronics idea, a PIC10F200 seems perfect for this application: 2. 0V to 5V operation means no regulator, internal comparator, it could use the same piezo for sensor and buzzer, and have a fancier sounding siren. Add a secret reed switch instead of a reset button and it gets perfect.

You could make two of them for one bike and attach them both. When one is opened without permission, it will beep, so the thief can't steal the bike.
Well, you do need to attach the alarm to an actual lock first.

My electric scooter has a similar alarm, with shock detection. But it's loud af.
And also comes with a remote control, like that of cars.
But when you say shock, I was expecting electro shock.

Hey Scott why don't you make a automatic water dispenser or an arduino controlled solenoid based water faucet? How about that? That would be helpful to a lot of people around the globe.

Hey! I love your videos! I was wondering if you could please do a tutorial to use esp8266 as wifi dongle/adapter to connect any pc to wifi router. Thanks a lot!

don't forget brute force attack, a kick or water on the device will for sure defeat it, or a kick braking it from the bike. but it sure better than nothing
