In this video we will be having a look at the kind of power supplies you use every day. I am talking about switched mode power supplies that convert our 230V AC mains voltage into for example 5V or 12V DC to power our electronics. I will not only tell you all about the heart of such a system, a flyback transformer, but I will also show you how it is used in a flyback circuit. At the end I will also show you a DIY attempt of such a mains power supply that you should (please) not replicate

Fascinating, I'm very happy to have this video from you. I have wondered about Switching mode power supplies for ages, and to have such detail is great - to be fair, I'm 1: 03 in, but I know it'll be good.

Can you make a video about active power factor correction, because it's an important topic with switch mode power supplies. Due to it's big capacitors.
