Hold up, so they mate, reproduce offspring of the same variety. then at some point, they shed and turn into the black and yellow varient, then they continue reproducing and bare black and yellow offspring? I feel like that's a huge editing slip or I'm not understanding something. How do they do that?

I cant believe nobody has made the comparison of grasshoppers/locusts and human beings. Because all it takes to create a situation between people is a misunderstanding or misplaced sensitivity. We have so much to learn from our environment. DONT GO THE WAY of the locust

DDT. Trouble is, harmful side effects. Someone needs to invent genetically targeted pesticides. That way, certain harmful pests, such as locusts, roaches, lovebugs, etc. can be wiped out, without harming bees.

I live in America, and wish bugs were a more staple food here. I'd love to snack on fried locusts as I do my homework, or have mealworms on my pizza. Eating locusts would make the swarms more profitable.

Locusts are amazing creatures, its a shame we lost the Rocky Mountain locust. Basically the passenger pigeon of the locusts, had huge devastating swarms but went extinct quickly and suddenly due to humans.

Since these critters cause crop famine, when they swarm, i'd catch and eat them. Share amongst the villagers so no one would starve. Locust are hardy, nutritious and taste nutty when roasted.

Why not capture, process then use as fish food for fish farms. There can be governmental/NGO financial assistances. It will be depending on financial viability. Just a thought.
