In our SERIES FINALE of Crash Course Computer Science we take a look towards the future! In the past 70 years electronic computing has fundamentally changed how we live our lives, and we believe it-s just getting started. From ubiquitous computing, artificial intelligence, and self-driving cars to brain computer interfaces, wearable computers, and maybe even the singularity there is so much amazing potential on the horizon. Of course there is also room for peril with the rise of artificial intelligence and more immediate displacement of much of the workforce through automation. It-s tough to predict how it will all shake out, but it-s our hope that this series has inspired you to take part in shaping that future. Thank you so much for watching

The problem isn't that technological change is causing unemployment. It's that capitalism as a system cannot cope with massive increases in efficiency and productivity without causing major problems that need to be patched in precarious ways. The only way to maximize automation is to replace capitalism with a system where power does not funnel to the top, workers have democratic control over the economy, and the technological advancements we make allow us all collectively to work less and have more free time.

You really shocked me at the end of the previous episode by saying final episode next. Pretty sad reaching the end. Since there has already been a few years since this episode, maybe some extension to the content is prudent? Not a full season 2, because this series covered most of it pretty well. Just incremental updates apart from the AI course already available.

I can't believe I got emotional realizing this was the last of the series. So interactive, so packed-up, and very clarifying! While watching I contemplated the gravity of work that has been done behind scenes. Million thanks to you, Carrie Anne, for all your energy, geeky jokes and blazing language! Also to CrashCourse and anyone supporting! More of these please!

How is this cycle for a sci to plot? see humans die but machines are Imortal, however machines cannot stop laws of entropy and the end of the universe. So machines will have to figure out how to transcend the physical universe, through ethereal creations that can bring back the universe, gods.

Carrie Anne and the whole Crash Course team, thank you so much, well done and keep up the phenomenal work. You've put together a marvelous course and have taken some of the most abstract topics and made them easy to understand!

This was an awesome series! It gave me a demystified view of computers from transistors up and inspired me to delve deeper into building something of my own. Thank you, Crash Course team!

Great videos, lots of information. But Carry Anne was unbearable. Please employ less annoying hosts for your future videos. Thank you

When I realised, that it will be the final level of abstraction, it made me sad. :( thanks for the course, it was great
