If words are just social constructs, if I say the n word and I re define it to mean something completely different, should I be able to say it? Who gets to decide what a word means? The majority of people? What if the majority of people uses a word incorrectly? Does the meaning change? If everyone decides tomorrow that the word banana is a racist word, should people still continue to be allowed to use that word?

I've been thinking about this -what's in the box- thing forever! I came up with this in high school. I thought, at the time, that all interpersonal problems were caused by a mismatch. Then I observed that some problems also derive from intentional lies (like Trump) and intentional ignorance (like Trump supporters.

Such an interesting topic! I'd love to see Crash Course talk about memes in todays culture. The fact that we can all look at a that one picture of a guy looking at the camera and we all think -it's free real estate- is fascinating

00. 52 in and I propose that a game in philosophical terms is an activity with 1 or more active participants that serves a purpose. Either to entertain, occupy, or otherwise, keep someone's attention.

Whoa, shoehorns! I forgot those existed. I should get one so I stop ruining the backs of all of my shoes by forcefully slipping into them.
