There is a lot of lie about stars. Example: they say stars exploded and and fallen down to earth, the other times they say the earth is part of exploded stars.
Snyways, the earth is. very different fromdmy obnects, that is observable fact, with no need of telescope.

You know it's because of this video that I finally started to understand how Stars fuse stuff together LOL. And how and why the star models were like convective Zone conductive Zone and all of that stuff. I understand now, this is awesome. it makes sense for a red dwarf to flare out more than our sun. When you think about it. if they are completely convective, then the stuff happening in the core will always make it to the surface

Im so convinced that theres life out there. We just not ready yet!
We still fight against each other, instead of put the universe and his wonders a priority, spend the billions they use for war in research and development of space travel.

Phil, that was my favourite so far. I'm writing sci fi (with real science) and your sessions are super helpful and reliable. I've always felt that stars were underrated. The planets, being about 0. 14% the solar system's mass, are just the largest chunks of the Sun's debris field, lying well within its extended atmosphere.

I finally know what he means. In other videos when he says, for example, silicon fusion I don't know if he means -fusion that produces silicon- or -fusion that uses silicon to produce something else- But here he says helium fusion is when helium fuses into carbon so now I need to rewatch some other videos to finally understand

Protostar > K or M type main sequence star > dimmer and darker star > White dwarf star > black dwarf.
Protostar > F or G type main sequence star > Red Giant > Helium Burning giant > Double she'll red giant > Planetary Nebula > white dwarf > black dwarf.

Around 4. 50 you've mentioned there's not enough hydrogen to be fused, but later you claim the temperature rises through the core so much, that outside the core hydrogen starts fusing. Could you/ anyone please clear it out for me? Much appreciated.

When the sun begins to blow off its outer layers in its death throes, we can electromagnetically direct the hot gas to one side, turning the sun into an interstellar spaceship, and earth can hitch a ride to a more calmer stellar home.

Why is it a quirk of physics that if the sun loses mass, the current velocity of the earth around it might exceed the new lower escape velocity? That seems like a perfectly ordinary application of classical mechanics.
