YEEEESS! Finally a crash course for my political science studies: ) I can't wait for this. I truly hope you will also shine a light on critical perspectives against dominant theories, especially important critiques on various liberalist theories which are often heavily problematic, outdated, or lacking. I would also love episodes dealing with the problems political theory faces regarding environmental concerns and climate catastrophe, as that's one of the most relevant and important topics for our societies to deal with. Next to that, episodes concerning (resurging) authoritarianism, or developmental theories and their past theoretical problems and biases (looking at you modernist and liberal theories, would be amazing if you could cover.

This is gonna be such an important/interesting course (I can immediately tell from the questions); it seems to be at the intersection of philosophy, sociology, law, and history. I really wish we could have gotten the full course before the next US presidential election, but alas, I'm looking forward to it either way.

As a European, it amazes me to see that, while tens of millions of Americans are actually voting for Trump and don't seem to be able to say a sentence without lying, Crash Course continues to provide its extraordinary content - well-researched, easy enough to understand and still so full of information. THANK YOU

What is the difference between political thought and political philosophy
Were they overlapped for most of ancient and medieval eras, and became more separated later Or do we not need to differentiate at all

Thanks for this exciting preview episode! Looking forward to the series! Btw it seems like there's a new character design style - the philosophers looked different from the usual Thought Cafe aesthetic. Excited!

HA! Starting this series next week Good call though I wish this course had started a couple of months ago, finishing, not starting, next week but I get it. I'm looking forward to the course!

I only wish this series had released a little earlier. It is disconcerting how many people throw around words like communist and fascist who have no idea about what those terms entail.
reply

Excited for this, great opportunity to help people with the basic principles, some media literacy and healthy skepticism here! Cant wait to see what you guys are gonna talk about.

after you tear down every value or norm into subjectivity you have to remember to build some back up from axioms and justified social contracts with utility.

Really curious about what you'll say (if anything) about anarchism, and whether or not bell hooks' anarchist sympathies will be in any way explored.

I first learned of Dr Ellie on overthink with Hank and guest Brennan Lee Mulligan, such a fun episode on caves. Excited for this series!

Love this! Such important topics and so much misinformation out there. Super super excited, thank you looking forward to learning more!

I'm for anything that can make more informed voters who aren't swayed by the half-truths and whole lies we get every voting cycle.
reply

Sweet! As a government teacher, I'm happy to get more insight on my subject. Maybe these will turn into parts of future lessons!
