Great episode. Im a naturalist from my early teens, I've studied water, food preservation, wood, plants. etc. Yes charcoal has long been in the human diet. our early pointers used to keep charcoal in the water casks. its also considered good for the digestion. Love that pizza over wooo that's a work of art, I saw the build video. I often wonder why you haven't plumbed a water system or built a cistern. or a Hot-tub. The Squatch: One of the great mysteries of life.
There was a time when I was enthralled about the squatch. & I wanted to hunt him (but only with a camera. I believe it's highly likely they exist, someday. I may be graced with their presence. Man I'd love to visit the site some day. itd be an Adventure for my little family.

WOW! i can't believe it'. of all you have experience living off grid' sthe structures' shelters' the hot tub' the pizza oven. what of any of it csme about all on its own' intelligence is behind all things that men take credit for. but after all' to fall to the dead god of the cult fictionites? re' evolution' -still' just a theory- why would truyh need lies' frauds and hoaxes to serve as a foundation' and ehcn your baby is born' no action from intelligent living beings. it all just evolves. what a shame' very dissappointing' an insult to our creator above all'.

WOW I saw you cooking CHICK PEAS like that and got a SHOCK! You are supposed to soak them for at least 6hours or overnight, then throw out the water, next you boil them till they are soft, Only then they are ready to be cooked in a curry
SORRY MATE you may be a CHEF or cook but that method is totally WRONG, it will not soften the peas and when you eat it will cause you to have an upset stomach and gas, one way to lessen that when cooking any lentils or peas is to add some ginger to your cooking, just some advise from me hope you are not upset yea

Hi, So I'm from South Africa, what I want to know us when you guys decided living off-grid, were you still working so that you could acquire, the boat, tools seedlings, stove and other things needed to live off-grid or were you guys sponsored. just wondering. looks awesome but I'm sure it's hard work, but I love the outdoors and living in nature. what happens when your wife gives birth or you guys need medical care what do you do, cos it's far from these amenities, you know what I'm saying, could you make us understand

A REAL Off grid life, can not lean on other people support, nothing wrong with that but caveman do not need no likes. other then that, it is super clear that money is not an issue, there are so many unnecessary tools and stuff.

I am shocked that that glass didn't shatter to pieces in the oven. That is what cast iron is for. I love watching you two eat! You are the daintiest people ever when eating. Especially Nicolle when you are eating your fruits. The food looked delicious and thanks for sharing your life.
