Scotty, got the 2018 Titanium 2. 0 w/ 4WD 40K. It's even got that 2 section retractable roof. Starting with 2019's, Ford made them shorter, taller, and fatter so you probably couldn't turn them into a camper for anyone over 5ft tall? I don't like them and drive them all the time as a company vehicle.
I say change the transmission, differential, and PTU fluid on those every 40K at a transmission shop, not the dealer. They have those cardboard panels underneath, that don't allow for the heat to escape.

6 years ago, my suv got in an accident, someone smashed into while it was parked. While it was in the shop getting 5100 in repairs, the insurance gave me a nearly new 2014 Ford Escape, that i ended up driving for 2 weeks during an East Coast Canadian winter. It was definitely THE WORST suv Ive ever driven. Had all season tires, so I couldnt even drive it half the time, good thing it was AWD. Horribly uncomfortable and always had a weird electrical smell. Rolling pile of junk, lol

Scotty looking on the burned out side, tired needing a break. As a tech I would not recommend thiese with the 1. 6l as they tend to blow head gaskets between cyl two and three. Done three in a week just testing them with a pressure test and coolant was found in the cylinders. First sign of it is when it is first started in the morning with a noticeable misfire that clears up after a few mins.

Run like he! from this vehicle. those engines are terrible. the dash is terrible to remove, have to take doors off to remove the foot long bolt going thru A-Pillar into the dash. They have a history of the air/heat air flow in the dash goes out.
Wish Scotty would do more of the issues with the vehicle he is spouting about. A little research would sure enlighten his viewers, etc.

I have a 15 Escape that has 50, 000. The AC went earlier in the year that was covered by my Geico warranty. ( 250 deductible. My wife drives it and loves it. Perfect size. I m hoping for 150, 000. Change oil every 5000 and just did drain and fill in the transmission. I ll do it again at 80000

Please scotty now you made all the sucm bags think this is cool. Now they will act like they want to do this buy a van put it on social meida so they can be cool and get likes. We don't need to exploit van life and get all these fakes doing it.

I used to drive one. It was a 15 escape Titanium. Made it to 120k before I traded it in for an 03 4runner with about the same mileage. It (the escape) never had any problems or issues, but I assume it s nearing the point where it will have some.

FordtechMatuloco Just released a video on the HVAC control unit. When it goes bad it s a nightmare to replace and very expensive one at that. He recommended to stay away from these vehicles. And he is a experience Ford Master technician!

It does NOT have a lot of room inside! J Mays, head of design at the time, designed the center stacks so wide, there is barely room for your legs. Job 1 at Ford is to make interiors as cramped as they can be.
