We ave 10 yrs btwn 2 yr Lite Mileage Old Used cars and we also Have a Budget to provide for our Car(s) every yr to pay for Reg. and Surprise Maintenance. Last one was 50/mo =600 yr set aside for 1 car and 800/Yr for the other that was 4 yrs older and higher Mileage. and a CC for Each Car and Acct. When time to Replace it? Wed have a Few Hundred left over to apply to the Next Newer Cars Maintenance Account. Surprise you dont talk about this Scotty? my Kids have done the same and now their Kids( Grandkids) are doing it.

Hey Scotty your channel is great Learned so much just by watching your channel. When I buy a used car for example, Im bringing my 2 scan tools with me, test drive the car for like 20-30mins, AND Looking under the car for bent rusted frame. I have a question: Whats the problem with a car that starts and drives but after driving the car the car wont restart immediately for about 10minutes (originally it took 30mins before restarting. Whats the problem? Fuel pressure? Car runs fun after the 10 minutes are up

I remembered back in the summer of 2017 that I had my first job working at a car dealership in a job program. When it came to taking the wheels off I have to have assistance to do it for me because obviously I was inexperienced so my coworkers helped me. But when it came to the alignment my coworkers had to do it because I was shadowing but I looked at how they did it though. Mr. Kilmer, this was a funny video and yes I really had a crappy day at school and this video kind of made me feel better.

Scotty. When im driving my 2001 lexus es300. With 147k miles. And i drive by like a crack in the street, a speed humb it makes a sound on the back like a clunk. And i dont really know. What it is. People tell me is the shocks. That got it be replace. But i test them by pushing down on the car. On the back. And the car stabilized real quick. It dont seem to bounce. I dont really know what is it and that sound is driving me crazy cause im scare of damaging more parts of the car.

Speaking of old Chevys and sway bars. I believe the lack of anti-sway bars on the older Chevy Corvairs is why they handled so poorly(not because the rear engine as popularly believed. Ralph Nader really was hard on them in his book Unsafe at Any Speed. Eventually, in later models they added sway bars or stabilizers or something of that sort and solved the problem, but the damage had already been done to their reputation.

I really want to see where scotty jacked up that car. Ive never seen a rated jack point that close to the front bumper. That is impressive. The hardest part of doing maintenance on a hyundai is figuring out where the heck to jack up the car safely. Theres only 4 points listed online - all on the side skirt and none listed in the manual. Aka. how to jack it up then support it with jack stands.

Hey Scotty, you make it look so easy. But inexperienced people can get partway through the job and get stumped. Like what happens when the hex key hole is so badly corroded that it wont hold the hex tool any more. Another follow-up video showing how one might deal with this issue could be helpful. But then you dont want to give away all your secrets, right?

Hi Scotty, been watching your great videos for a while now. I know you love Toyotas What is your opinion on a 2005 Toyota Avalon with 98k miles for 4-5 grand? Any known problems? Ive been wanting one for a while and this seems to be the lowest mileage one I could find and the price doesnt seem too bad.

I think the rear sway bar bushings in my C-class need changing. On some bumps I hear creaking from the rear end, almost like opening an old door, its embarrassing XDJust checked the price, bushings cost 1. 50 Euro a pop. This will probably be the cheapest repair Ive done on my Mercedes.
