are short shifters bad for your transmission? ive heard they are but i dont understand how they can be? people say it messes up your syncros but all it does is change the pivot point, it doesnt really change anything accept the angle of the pivot. Can anyone answer that for me? i cant find any reliable source that answers that question, just forums

just wondering if anyone thinks this video should have more details of installation. just a small bit.
I think these guys are great but this video wasn't very instructional unlike the rest of their videos which are very good.

why not just cut the factory shifter with a grinder and weld the old knob on? and theres a 9/10 chance that when your in the drive thru you wont need to go to second gear by the time you get to the next counter. Mythbusted

I was always taught that a short shifter is useless on MOST cars. Most cars has too long of a clutch travel for the the short shifter to be effective at all because you take longer pressing and releasing the clutch.

Is there different applications for different types of cars. or is this a universal short shifter for any cars and trucks. I have an 85 Isuzu Pick up and was looking at making it a short shifter.
