Replacing Lower Control Arm and Ball Joint. Learn how to replace a lower control arm with the lower ball joint. I show the process in a 95 ford windstar but it is similar in many different makes and models. This is a single arm control arm with a strut bar for support. A wishbone lower control arm will be similar minus the strut bar. WATCH THIS if you are changing out your control arm

Thank you for the film. I need to change bushing on the outer edge of the Lower Control Arm in the car 2001 Saturn SL2. I ordered a new bushing for that model, but it is only rubber bushing, no central bolt inside (in many films they show the bushing with that bolt. For that car I couldn't find a bushing with the bolt. Is it difficult to replace the old bolt into the new bushing? They sell that bushing, so it should be possible, but I didn't see any film on that particular operation. The bushing is on Amazon: MOOG K8436 Lower Control Arm Bushing. Of course I could just change the Lower Control Arm, but not in a mood to do that, bcs not quite ready now to go to the local shop to surrender in the case of failure.

Hi, I have one question, one year I had an accident, the lower control arm suddenly broke. I had a lot problems with my insurance to get my claim. This year, I received a letter by MAZDA about RECALL AIR BAG, but never about LOWER. ONTROL ARM. I got appointment and the system show that my car had RECALL by LOWER CONTROL ARM, so the dealer today 7/25/2020 did that two recalls AIR BAG and LOWER CONTROL ARM. I never understood why the lower control broke so please give any suggestions what responsibilities had MAZDA in the accident that I could died. I really will appreciate it

Does anybody know if ChrisFix has another garage in New Jersey where he fixes cars? I'm from New Jersey and his old garage is permanently closed.

I recommend jacking up the the ball joint into the knuckle to make sure its seated in there and also hold it in place while you put the bolt in.

Hey ChrisFix! How do you find the foot pound (or pound foot lol) amounts for each bolt you put on for a specific vehicle?
