Porsche Mission X: The quickest road-legal car in the WORLD!

Meet Porsche s all-new all-electric hypercar! This is the Mission X. It s Porsche s first hypercar since the 918 Spyder, and it s got some pretty lofty ambitions! Porsche is hoping the Mission X will set the record as the fastest road-legal car to complete a lap on the N rburgring! So let s take a closer look at this incredible EV. Starting with the looks, this is easily one of the most subtle hypercars we ve ever seen. Porsche wants to show that hypercars don t just have to look aggressive, and can still hit incredible speeds without being plastered in huge aero. Up front, the most notable design feature is the vertical bars that ll make up the headlights and indicators. Along the side, it s easy to see how the Mission X has been inspired by the 963 racing car, as it s very low and very long. Take a step around the back and the rear end is dominated by an absolutely huge diffuser, which will help the Mission X create more downforce than the new GT3 RS! If anything, the interior of the Mission X is wilder than the exterior! The bucket seats look futuristic and properly figure-hugging, while the steering wheel makes Tesla s yoke look prehistoric, coming plastered with a number of buttons and dials. We re not so sure about the white handles though - they just scream dirt magnets to us! Thankfully though Porsche has kept up with some traditions - you ll still find an analogue stopwatch up on the dash! When it comes to performance stats Well, Porsche hasn t revealed them yet. But one thing we do know is it ll have a power-to-weight ratio of 1, 000hp per tonne. So all we know is, it s likely to spill over to around 1, 300hp+! But then again, it ll need to if it s going to beat the N rburgring lap record currently held by the AMG ONE!

I'm a big Porsche fan. I don't like it. I'm calling BS. First of all, you're not going to get the lap record with those tires. They'll need to be wider. More downforce than a GT3RS? ground effect downforce only works in theory. Once there are bumps and undulations, it goes away. 1000hp per ton? that will only happen if you reduce the size of the battery, which defeats the purpose of a track machine. The Evija if given full beans will only be able to do 1 full nurburgring lap, 2 if it slows down and coasts half way down each straight. Porsche have the GT3RS not because it's the fastest, it's because it drives great and it can take the track lap after lap. This ain't that. The Mission X would make more sense as a high climb car, where you only do 1 run anyways.

I really don't like the video's that you are telling things about the car using images instead of being there in person. I think that you just want to stay with the hype to review the newest car and with this solution we definitely miss the pure connection. Please stop it! You're also using clickbait like it looks like you are standing next to the newest car, while this is fake, just to gain more views. Stop it Matt, you're better than this!

It beats the Veyron the Chiron sport and SS Maybe but for it to be a Bugatti kill it would have to beat them all Bugatti still has one more that's usually not talked about much but still counts it's not just about road legal vehicles the Bugatti bolide most likely is still faster than that so before you try to roast Bugatti in a video make sure you have all the facts

The future of this technology will be amazing. I expect that there will be a new technology of lightweight and fast charging batteries that will reflect positively on high-performance electric cars of the new generation such as the Porsche Taycan.

I have yet to see any of those Bugatti killers actually. you know. drive: Devel Sixteen, Jesko Absolute, and now Mission X
The day I ll see a road car being filmed actually going faster than the SS300+ doesn t seem like it wants to come.

Wanna get REAL drunk REAL quick? - Take a shot every time Mat mispronounces Porsche.
Wanna stay sober? - Take a shot every time Mat talks about it being Electric.
You guys wouldn't know superior technology if it hit you in the face.

Mercedes could not keep up with the GT2 RS with its AMG GT Black, so it had to step in with a higher tier model, which is the AMG One. Now, Porsche decided to enter that tier, and it will beat the One, as the GT2 beat the AMG GT previously.

Boy. You guys really need to learn a few things about EV tech before you carry on.
900V charging cApAciTy is twice the capacity of a Taycan Turbo S [. ] should charge much quicker. None of the parts of that sentence made sense.

You know, that mechanical stopwatch suits this car - there'll probably be a matching Tag Heuer or similar wristwatch for an extra 10 grand too! Anyway, just seeing that stopwatch in the dashboard gave me a nostalgic moment.

They downforce comes from it s shape, it s designed like a wing to create high and low pressure zones. Unlike a wing on aircraft that produces lift, this car is reversed to produce downforce. Brilliant if you ask me.

Speaking of Porsche EV, I can't wait for the reveal of the 1, 000 HP Taycan Turbo GT. I'm sick and tired of Tesla and Lucid claiming to the the king of EV sedans. Carwow please make that drag race happen!

a little ugly tho, Something is wrong but I can't tell what it is
edit: i found what is wrong;
back of the roof, it's ending fast and it's looks small ( or the back of the car is too low )

reply

Where does this end? You can't appreciate the tech or performance outside of a race track. Who is building cars we can enjoy every day in 20 years when regulations are extremely strict?
reply

Fun fact: In November 2021, Porsche and Rimac successfully finalised the formation of a joint venture between Rimac s hypercar division Rimac Automobili and Bugatti Automobiles.
reply

I think u forgot to speak about the rimac! From which I think this porshe will take the electric technology. Cause they made a partnership with rimac and Bugatti

I personally would have preferred that the car has a hybrid drivetrain instead of being fully electric. I don't want Porsche to call quits on ICEs just yet.
reply

Hyper cars are so generic. You could literally put any badge on this car. Doesn t look like a Porsche at all. Car design is in the trash nowadays.
reply

if i had one i'd put all the rest of my money in to develop a hybrid system with the Carrera GT's V10 for it
design just SCREAMS V10

reply

Wait Matt you mentioned that the 918 had a TwinTurbo V8 I m pretty sure it was a naturally aspirated 4. 6 L V8 went two electric motors
