I have looked at Audi A/S5, BMW 4 series and Mercedes AMG C43. Audi is way above the others even if you take the ride factor into account. I registered and visited Mercedes but was treated so badly that it needs to be a factor to mention when reviewing these vehicles. I was in the Mercedes dealership for 20 minutes or more not a single sales person approached me. The front desk said there were 4 sales people. I think they were all hiding I know not why. I left utterly disappointed. I wasn't that impressed either by the vehicles on display. Yes mercedes has quality but it was all too glossy and glittery for me and the designs look dated. No one from Mercedes has even followed up on my enquiry. BMW also too plasticky for my liking. Sorry but didnt think much of your review its a Coupe if you want more room get the sportback or the A7 its not really a child seat friendly car either is it! Perhaps buy a family car in that case.

Been driving a 2014 BMW 428i 2. o liter turbo, for the last 3 years and I can tell you it's a much better car than the A5 and C coupe. The almost 250bhp is more than enough power, it looks the part, comfortable seats, M sport package gives it that little bit more of a sporty touch, great steering wheel, the best infotainment system out of the lot. No comparison in my eyes, the 4 series beats the competition hands down.

That boot is nowhere near as big or accessible as the 4 series Gran Coupe. Back seats are smaller too. It looks worse than the outgoing A5 - the effortless curves of the old one is lost, the new one has too many sharp lines and looks more Japanese. 4 series drives and handles better, better steering, RWD fun. 4 series is the better car. I can see no reason to pick this A5? It's a step backward for Audi.

The fact the mirrors don't fold in themselves when you lock it is a real turn off for me. It may only be a small detail, but for the price you pay that is outrageous. Also the motorized chair assist for rear passengers to get in and out as well as the motorized seatbelt when the driver gets in and out are so gimmicky. Was looking at getting this car, but may just look at Mercedes instead.

I'm Sorry to bring this up but it really bothers me.
I have to operate 1 Manual Lever & 1 electric Button and wait for the seat to come forward where in other cars I can do the whole thing 3x as fast with just the one lever.
On the other hand, the Boot doesnt have a button to close it which would be far more useful.
Talk about German Engineering eh.

Audi doesn't seem clear on the concept of the sport coupe. Whereas BMW and M-B understand that a buyer willing to give up the practicality of two extra doors is looking for some style and emotion-and have styled their midrange, top-selling coupes to suit such buyers-the Audi looks dowdy (-daudi? -); it looks like an A4 with just two doors. Zzzzzz.

Ordered mine, big step up from my BMW, and I was sold on the interior, it-s sooo classy in there I had no car envy whatsoever even when a Range Rover SVR pulled up next to me at the lights and I love that car. Roll on March 19

This particular car costs 43 thousand pounds! So you think, then you would have wing mirrors that fold in automatically when you lock the car, but No. You've to do it bloody yourself.

did audi wait 8 years to make this ugly a5? for me exterior design much more important than interior look at very simple thought front light and rear design. this is why bmw sales much more than audi in the market.

Teach generation A5 is getting uglier actually the design direction of Audi as a whole has regressed. The new R8 is nothing on the old one. the engineering and build is first class as always however.
