We'd like to say a huge thank you to the Al Ain Municipality and Tilal Swaihan for providing the amazing drag strip, built to the highest standards to ensure safe racing and car proving away from the public roads. Thanks, too, goes to Super Cars Majlis for inviting its amazing members along and providing the cars you see in our videos. Also, a massive thanks goes to Ryan Griffiths at Syvecs for his help in organising these races! . #ad CarVertical: Change your car with Carwow: HOLY TRINITY DRAG RACE! We’ve finally got our hands on the Ferrari LaFerrari, the Porsche 918 Spyder and the McLaren P1, and they’re about to go head-to-head over the quarter-mile! Can you guess which will snatch the chequered flag Let’s take a closer look at the stats. Starting with the McLaren, it’s powered by a 3. 8-litre twin-turbo V8 coupled with an electric motor. Combined, they produce 916hp and 900Nm, and this power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch. The car weighs in at 1, 490kg, and it’s now valued at over 1, 000, 000. Alongside it, we have the Porsche. It’s powered by a 4. 6-litre naturally aspirated V8 and two electric motors. It puts down 887hp and 1, 280Nm, and this is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch. It tips the scales at 1, 675kg, and it’s currently worth more than one million pounds! Finally, we have the LaFerrari. It’s packing a 6. 3-litre naturally-aspirated V12 as well as an electric motor, and these combine for 963hp and 900Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch, and it tips the scales at 1, 585kg. It’s currently worth over 3, 000, 000! WHAT A LINEUP! But will it be a walkover for the all-wheel-drive Porsche There’s only one way to find out LET’S RACE! Mat's Choice: Bugatti Chiron SS v Koenigsegg Jesko:

Aren’t you guys about 10-years too late I will say that even though Top Gear raced these a decade ago, there was SO MUCH red tape and stipulations around these cars, in order for no brand to feel like they were slighted, that I found so annoying.
At least now that these cars are last-gen, and are owner cars, we can now get a 100% completely honest comparison. This should be more interesting to watch.

That P1 just sounds amazing. Also theres no way that Porsche didn't jump on their first race. He was moving while his hands were still up. Also, that last rolling race it just feels like Matt is short shifting bad. He pulled that Porsche in hard, then shifted and looked like he had absolutely no power and lost all momentum.

And the crazy thing is, if I am not mistaken, the Porsche 911 Turbo, clocked a 10. 1 in one of the Carwow shows quite a while ago. Beating all these times on this episode.
Porsche is just crazy good.

Did Mat use the DRS at all in any of these races I feel like that P1 was drag limited in these races. If you go watch old Holy Trinity from 9 yrs ago, the P1 pulls ahead on the top end.
reply

Matt forgot to use the IPAS button on the P1, that does all the difference on high speeds with the extra boost from the eletric motors, that is why the P1 was not caching the 918.

Awesome race i knew the porsche would win but more importantly, Rory got a win that's the 1st time i've seen him win lol he usually gets stuck in the slowest cars but good episode.
reply

lol how is Sam a professional Even Captain Slow could win a race with the Ferrari. Sam got gapped out of existence by the other two. You guys need to find a better driver
reply

Why is the grippiest car in the middle where there is most grip! Did you not think of that This drag test was completely false. Do it again swap places or use another road
reply

It doesn’t matter what car you drive, it all comes down to the type of shoes you wear- Jezza
so turns out only the one who drove the Porsche was wearing shoes

reply

In that first launch if you go frame by frame, Rory's brake lights go off the exact same frame that the guy's arms start moving to come down. Perfection!

I remember the politics that were at play in 2015 when it came to putting these 3 on the same track. This is amazing to see and so heartwarming
reply

Psthe sand roost coming from both RWD carbon the outside of the track is wild! lol. They should have helped the beasts out in the middle a little
reply

Wow, what an epic showdown! Love seeing these legends go head-to-head. Curious to see how each car’s unique engineering shines in the race!
reply

Takes me back. When these 3 were dropped together, it’s all the automotive world talked about for months. I was and still am Team Porsche
reply

That LaFerrari really struggling with those sandy surfaces but those rolling races showed why it’s the most valuable out of the 3.
