Every body wants a go pro because they see them on tv and think they look cool and all there friends have them so thats why they get them the picture quality go pro is different you will see footage from a day and then go there in real life and it will look heaps different but with the contour it has the exact lighting and stuff so you will feel like your there on the day.
My case is settled i have a contour and i love it

For using on a vehicle, GoPro. For wearing one, the Contour blows the gopro away. I had the hero3 and I hated it. It also broke with only about 12 uses. It wouldnt connect to anything. It was probably a lemon but still i prefer the contour. Its more rugged. Take the gopro out of the case and its so fragile. The contour doesnt need a case but it still can have a case. Contour is better for my needs

The Contour's image quality is at least -good enough- compared to the GoPro, and it is 10x easier to reliably turn on and off with its simple slider switch. When I am out having fun on my dirt bike, I don't want to dick around wondering if my camera is on or not. Contour is simple in this regard and simple is good.

The GoPro -with all the extras, is a bit expensive- and the Contour is -better value overall-? Just seconds before, you show that the difference in price is less than 1%. Skip a single coffee and count out your spare change and you've made up the difference.

They forgot to mention that contour also has a app to control the camera. And being an American company (though made in china) is a plus for me, and gopro being made and owned by chinese is not so great (but all that is just my opinion.

I want to see their under water footage and I want to see the mount options as well as how well they work when mounted on a person. what are the accessories for the contour the go pro can be fitted with a battery pack and a touch screen

I bought the GoPro only because of better night recording. Otherwise no doubt I would've went Contour, the GoPro is ugly as shit mounted on a helmet. Contour please fix your low light capabilities, I've got cash waiting.

the contour is clearly over sharpened, overworked. if you are doing serious work use the gopro and you can color correct and grade. if you're just dicking around the contour looks ok

were we watching the same footage as the reviewer? the gopro footage looked like someone pissed on the lens and let it dry there. the contour was clearer and had more realistic color.
