This is the all-new, all-singing, all-dancing- (- may not sing or dance) Nissan Qashqai. It's the third-generation of Nissan's genre-defining crossover/SUV/estate/family car thingy, and it is arguably Britain's most important car, owing to it being designed, developed, and built here. It's also perennially one of the best-selling cars in the world, with more than three million sold since its 2006 introduction. Join James Disdale as he tests the 1. 3-litre mild hybrid petrol Qashqai, which makes 156bhp, enough to propel it from 0-62mph in 9. 5 seconds, while it has a top speed of 128mph. In this DiG-T Tekna+ form its price is -34, 175 in the UK. While you're here and you've read this car (and many thanks for that, why not sign up to our newsletter?

As a Qashqai owner, I actually don't like this new design. The Golf has gone the same way, whereby there's no soul left. No doubt it's a good car, but view it from certain angles it looks clumsy (compare the rear three quarter view with the previous model.
I will keep my curvaceous 2021 QQ with its rising waistline and muscular hips, and give this slab sided appliance a miss.
Sorry!

Britain's most boring car, exported to you.
Japanese reliability instead build in Britain (Nissan being the second worst of japanese maker for reliability)
Leyland motors are not a fond memory, the makers of those cars deserved to be mounted directly to the rack for more direct control for torture.

Sister has a 2017 Qashqai the first year it was available in Canada and has never had a warranty claim or recall, just regular maintenance and fantastic fuel economy, it is put together way better than a Nissan Rogue or Murano and had much less wind noise, better than most of the competitors

I'd really miss the great 1. 5 dci diesel, which is 'genuinely' economical & torquey.
Front of this, is an ugly chromefest mess.
New cars are losing the design purity of previous models.
You guys always test the expensive 'posh' models, which is suspicious.

All new cars (2021 onwards) should be averaging more than 50mpg on mixed motoring.
From an environmental viewpoint don-t consider any car that is less efficient than this.
So, what is the average mpg of this Quashqai with mixed motoring?

Really dissapointing. Does nothing great. Poor powertrains, bad ride quality, and mediocre interior. This is more a refresh than anything else. I would go elsewhere
