Why did they hate on the 4C? Its not perfect but with a little work it makes a great track car and can put down serious lap times. I enjoy my 4C more than my 991 Turbo S at the track even though its no where near as fast in a straight line. The manual steering and stripped down lightweight carbon tub make it feel like a go cart on roids. I guess its not for everyone.

If you're worried about everyday livability then you've already missed the point of a driver's-car. If you're factoring in everyday driving then you're looking for the all-rounder, not the best to drive. I love the selection they have here, but that Atom would be By FAR my #1 choice!

Also, Autocar, you do good work, but could you possibly expound on this comparison a little more. 12 minutes just isn't enough to fully appreciate all these contenders and to fully hear your conclusions and impressions of driving each. This should be a whole hour at least! :)

I love how the Atom is 100% about going fast and driving pleasure, no compromises at all. I would love to own one for use as a track car and general hoon machine. I don't mind the supercharger sound, I'd be wearing earplugs under my helmet anyway to deal with the wind noise.

The Brits love the Atom, I'm glad none of the American publucations consider that a true -car-, it's basically a frame with a motor, such an unfair advantage.

I totally agree with johnnyr25. Where is the Nissan Nismo GTR? This car had the best time at Goodwood Hill climb this year. It even beat Jensen in the P1.
