With 656bhp rather than the 503bhp of its predecessor, the latest Aston Martin Vantage has moved on to a new performance plane. It was a serious sports car before but the comprehensive overhaul has, as with the DB12 we were so impressed by recently, significantly shifted its capabilities. Its price too: this is a 165, 000 before options. Along with 656bhp at 6000rpm it makes 590lb ft at 2000-5000rpm. It drives the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox and weighs (dry) 1605kg. Performance is strong, with a 0-62mph time of 3. 4sec and a top speed of 202mph. I'm sorry. It's still as ugly as hell. Wrong engine. How do you go from the gorgeous DB10 concept to the hideous Vantage
If it were my money I'd buy the slower Jag V8 Vantage. I couldn't smile at this new one on my drive.

Like others are commenting the audio being so muffled through the entire video makes this near unwatchable. Was looking forward to this as Matt does a great tech review on new models.

Somehow the audio on this review is even worse than the last one Matt, spectacular. Visuals, firing on all cylinders. Audio Out to lunch.
