Abandoned WW2 Bunker Renovation in my Back Garden

I discovered an abandoned ww2 air raid bunker in my back garden, built by a Lieutenant in WW2 as the 100 year old farmhouse is near a military air field. It was in disrepair so I decided to give it some new life and renovate it. Including building an escape hatch with ladder, as well as sealing the shelter and adding cool things to it!

I'm sure it will be fine and I'm just overthinking it, but would it not have made sense to paint both sides of the door/hatch, just in case any water does get in between the wood and the chequered steel plate?

Is there air intakes and exhausts in it or isn t it air tight? What other upgrades are you planning for the future? Very nice work, interesting how history comes full circle.

PS: Make sure you hide/camouflage outside, and any piping you push out. Also, make sure when it rains, it doesn't flood you guys out.
