Most people (myself included) have this image in their heads of the Cinque Terre being a sun-drenched paradise along the Ligurian Coast. This is thanks in large part to how it's portrayed on film and in photographs. While I don't think it's an unrealistic portrayal, it's certainly idealized, and while I'd prefer my first visit there to be under clear skies, I don't think I'd be all that disappointed if it rained while I was there, as it's clearly just as beautiful in such conditions as it is in sunshine.

Wow. This is amazing. love it when you go to that spot at 10: 00 and look back at the town. And, of course when you go very close to the ocean at 24: 20. We can even see your shoes! ah ah Cinque Terre is a paradise, and I can't wait to visit one day soon! Greetings from Portugal: )
