Hi noelphilips, Glad for you to finally try Philippine Airlines. I was able to fly on PAL Business Class round trip MNL to JFK. I saw your experience with Cebu Pac videos then. Yeah, PAL is not the most perfect airlines, but they had a great and hospitable FAs. And yeah, for a cheaper money for Business Class, its quite fine. I laughed with the pilot missing his exit. Never happened that to me. I guess the pilot really tried to really nailed the butter or smooth landing that he missed the final exit of his. Perhaps this also pertains to MNL’s current NAIA over saturated airport. Hopefully on your next PAL flight, with Premium or Economy, you may land on the new MNL in a few years which is ongoing construction.
With the shrimp, that is how Filipino’s actually eat hehehe. You really have to use your hands to remove the head and the shell of the shrimp. Its really delicious but yeah you really have to do the labor of removing them hehe.
Great video and yeah thank you for flying with out flag carrier. Always been a PAL enthusiast no matter what.

The economy seats really need to be replaced. My seat was very compressed and very uncomfortable on my lower back. With the amount of flights and passengers that fly this particular flight they should be replaced almost every 2 years. It's been 4 days I've been in the Philippines and my lower back still isn't feeling any better. And also beware of your luggage. I had a brand new suitcase before this trip and when I got my suitcase the one zipper pull assembly was completely gone. My bag has a built in tsa lock. Now how am I supposed to lock my bag for the flight back to NY I'm not very happy!

18: 53 no that's standard operating procedure for some gates at T1 lol. The gates are too crammed together that the safest (aka the only way) to get planes in the side bays is by towing them the last bit of the way with engines off and wing walkers on either side making sure planes don't touch tips (like what happened with PR and China Airlines a while back, the poor A333s operated with only one winglet for a while)
There's a similar gate over in T3, but that's caused by an inop jetbridge that hasn't been fixed in over a year lol. Welcome to the Philippines.

They get a lot of bad comments about there international flights, sometimes lack of entertainment systems and been delayed, personally I've flown with them twice within the last 2 years(manila to Perth/manila to Vancouver, both return)and I found them just as good as any airline I've ever flown with, nice planes and the food was really good(especially for someone like me who doesn eat rice etc, they had a good other options) They also have a good free gift for young kids(a little Disney bag)

You dodged a bullet transferring through MNL rather than going through arrival and departing another day. I can only imagine how you'd have felt after the slating you gave JFK.
Hopefully in a few years the situation in MNL will have improved with the private company that took over the running of the airport building new modern terminals and also an additional Manila airport or two due to be completed. How well the actual implementation goes though, only time will tell.

wow what's wrong with this filipino pilot! he is flying to his home airport and he takes the wrong turn off the runway So now they have to wait to get a tow onto the correct taxiway (docking station, unreal, and the pilot didn't even apologize for his error. Not to mention you did not get a good deal for the Internet you paid for on-flight. The food looked very good though.

I thought Noel was going to start This week. I help an old lady find her seat. I've never flown Philippines airline - they use to fly from London to Manila but then stopped - maybe they've restarted this route. $2000 for a 17 hour business class flight is very good value. Everything looked very good overall. Even in business, 17 hours is a long time! Very good video.

You made us laugh so much when you had no idea what to do with that King Prawn on that airline 'many have never heard of'. PAL is a very well know airline here in Australia (I've flown them recently to Taipei and Hongkers) and they offer excellent J class value. And every fair dinkum Aussie knows how to knock off a raw prawn.

Seeing you taking a Philippine Airline flight from JFK to MNL is bonkers. I have used PAL in the past and the service, although way better than Cebu is still a rather rudimentary experience.
I wonder what makes a flight route to JFK financially viable in the airlines view

I flew from Sydney to LAX through Manila in Business on Philippine Airways in October and it was a real delight. Great value. Was an A350 from Sydney to Manila and a 777 from Manila to LAX. The crew on all flights to and fro were so excellent, the prawns are wonderful

I had a good experience with Philippine airlines A350 from Manila to NY JFK.
I was even surprised how comfy the encomy seat was as compared to Singapore Airlines 777 300 ER economy.
I also prefer the tv screen on PAL A350 and the entertainment options.

Just flew from our airport here in Colorado Springs and saw that they just put in a brand spanking new lounge that was so funny. It is like a 20 X 20 room with a fishbowl of a window where all the people could look into the lounge at the people like they are a zoo exhibit.

PAL is the oldest operating commercial airline in Asia. My best mate and travel companion is Filipino. He has flown them a number of times. I have yet to do so, although I actually have a Mabuhay Miles account. Perhaps someday I will get the chance to fly them.

Just flew them twice in CCL. The service was fantastic on both flights. Really among the best I encountered so far. Food was also good. I think it must be hard to review the hard product though. It seems they have completely different seats on every aircraft.

PAL. Plane Always Late.
Hopefully not when we fly their new route direct from Cebu to Ho Chi Minh in June but it's a vacation so i dont really care. PAL is streets ahead of Cebu Pathetic, Air Asia and Scoot from airline staff to certainly customer service.

What a coincidence, my wife, and I just landed in Manila yesterday. We are visiting her family. Colorado to LAX, LAX to Manila, Manila to CDO. That 14 hours accros the Pacific is brutal. But Philippine airlines makes it bearable. We love flying with them

Hi Noel. I see you have changed from your wired version microphone to the DJI. Is this the transmitter only via Bluetooth or are you recording voice internally in the DJI to mixed it afterwards when you edit the video It seems to work very well in the plane.

I flew PAL in business class once, LAX - MNL and back. the service was absolutely amazing, something i attribute to filipinos being the nicest people on earth, but the food was awful, and i nearly starved myself on board because of how bad the food was

I've never flown Philippine airlines, but I know Manila airport well and the flight to Singapore - you're braver than me, I would have taken a night in Manila hotel before that second flight, especially if you have a connection at Changi!
