Reminds me of my flights to and from HNL when I was stationed out there. Going there the first time, it was a nonstop from ATL to HNL on an L-1011 and I had to upgrade to 1st class, becuase I am 6'4 and I would go stir crazy in coach, but back then non of the airlines had the individual cubicle seats, so I had a seat mate in first class the whole way over. and never mind the 1 hour delay fo the Thunderstorm in ATL. The next one, was HNL to Newark on a Continental 777, in coach. That did drive me stir crazy, but I behaved myself. I liked Hawaii, but next time I stop off in LA : D

And this is why so many americans dont have passports of have a need of them. Just the lower 48, or continental US would stretch from lisbon to moscow. When you add in Alaska and Hawaii which are full US states no different than any others, domestic travel in the US doesn't require papers and only because of airline security do you need a ID. The question for europeans is how many have a passport but never leave the EU And how much easier would travel be without being asked for your passport within the EU.

Saily does not work with phones that are SIM locked includes eSIM on a contract with US & Canadian providers. Starting May-June you will need a READ ID card or drivers license in the US to fly domestic & internationally for when you return to the US. You do not need a passport also for travelling to the US Territories Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam & Northern Mariana Islands as long as you travel through Hawaii & not Asia. -Cheers!

so i love your videos. I have one thing that i dont like about them. You run the final approach on fast forward and then slow it down to normal right at touchdown. I know why you do it what gets me is it is a jarring transitioning from fast to slow and then the touchdown. I am not sure how you can tweak it. it is just something I personally noticed. Others mileage may vary.

Nice to see this video for a specific reason. they just opened up the red alien eyeball E terminal extension last year and I haven't been inside yet. But I see it almost every day driving clients to Logan. I've flown this route a number of times on Hawaiian. Would like to fly Delta but just heard they are discontinuing this route.

I would just mention that the Boston-Honolulu flight does fly over Canada for a lot of its route, so the one country argument doesn't really hold here. That being said, I definitely agree with your point that you shouldn't need a passport for domestic travel, so this one sohuld still count as the longest domestic flight!

A little bit of advice.
Next time you travel to Hawaii, the resort across the road, The Ilikai is a far better resort than the Grand Vacations Hilton or the Hilton Hawaiian Village. You might not be as grumpy with Honolulu if you stay there.
Hilton, Totally not worth the $$$ per night.

That cracked me up with the picture frame thinking it was an iPad it's the sort of thing I would do
Great video Noel, Hawaii is definitely on my bucket list, although was a bit surprised when you said Honolulu was a bit of a sht hole, you'd just imagine it to be paradise everywhere.

lol if you traveled over international waters or another country im skeptical. Ironically i just booked a flight in May to maui, and annoyingly there were no options that didn't include layovers. guessing these flights are only through hon. You got any connections at delta lol

Try one for Guam and the Northern Marianas. They’re the most distant U. S. territories that you can travel without a passport (not direct flights though. Also go to American Samoa (most remote U. S. territory and only part of the U. S. where passports are required for travel)

FPMSL Noel its a picture frame hahahaha hilarious! Good solid video and lots of nice food content. I look forward to your upcoming aussie content. All the best to Rach and the kids! PS I don't know how your body puts up with all the jetlag and traveling.

Mr. Philips you really blew my mind by doing exactly what I'd hoped you would do. Firstly you conducted a proper Loo Review on the plane and secondly you did the ultimate review by inspecting the hotel Loo. Please stay safe and have a wonderful evening.

Hey Noel, great video! Is adding clear on top of pre check worth it I usually fly multiple times a month domestic and international. I have noticed that pre check keeps getting more and more popular. I hope pre check and global entry up the price.

Wife and I yearly spend time on Maui. We take the non-stop Hawaiian Air from JFK to HNL. It is just a few minutes less, so we just miss out on the claim of the longest domestic flight. However, it is the longest domestic daily scheduled flight.

I have a friend from Boston who flew this same route; BOS-HNL, except he was on Hawaiian. He hated it. Not because of HA but, because of the duration. He said next time he will stop in California to visit me on the way over.

Can fly with your DL. BUT after multiple delays everyone who fly's will need a Real ID with the gold star or a passport starting MAY 7th. Just a heads up for everyone. My Grandma had no idea and my wedding is in July

Hey Noel, great video!
I would love if you could fly on the new Carlsbad (California) route to Phoenix on American Airlines! Great little airport that allows people from San Diego to choose another airport option

Let me get this straight. You flew, alone, all the way from Boston to Honolulu, alone. Where is Rachel Honolulu and Rachel is in Houston I wouldn't want to be in your Delta sport socks when you get home!
reply

Never been to Honolulu but did go to Lihue. Sounds like I made the right choice. But it took me 3 planes to get there from Florida using air miles. Last leg was nearly 5 hours which I thought was long!

Noel, what happened to Airalo Which do you prefer I’ve used Airalo when travelling to Poland and Latvia, discovered them from one of your prior videos. What are the differences between that and Saily
