I Was NOT Expecting THIS on China Airlines’ A350 Business Class!

It looks super comfy being able to recline to a full horizontal toes up sleeping in a small bed for a reasonable $500 which is an economy class kind of airfare. The lamp looks like tridactyl bird foot sorta like American colonial style furniture and the pillow a smoking jacket some men wear to cigar smoking activities. Most anything beats t he Greyhound for Greyhound in the US downright sucks. I actually rode on it several times finding it's ex-convicts going home from prison and Amish people going long distance across the states who aren't allowed to fly places for that is a red line resulting in excommunication. I guess we have American Eagle though you'll be waiting a long time for a minimum number of passengers to be waiting in order for a flight to go. In any case, there is no shortage of war and history museums and sites to explore.

Flew a China Airlines A350-900 in business class from SEA to TPE in the Fall 2024. I had a few choices for the SEA-TPE route, but China Airlines (also a Skyteam member) was the only one that departed just after midnight (1: 00 am local, which allowed me to stay on my sleep schedule. The food was great, the cabin was clean, and the FAs were very cordial and responsive. Arrived in Taipei (4: 30 am local, and just had to wait until the CA lounge opened at 5: 00 am, as I was transferring later to another CA flight to BKK. Overall, I'd highly recommend China Airlines with their A350-900. Looking forward to your review of their new 787-9 when they receive their 1st one (late 2025/early 2026.

I'm jealous. I've always wanted to fly on China Airlines. I've heard rumours they want to change the name to Air Taiwan. Whether that happens or not is open to debate. Maybe one of these days I'll get to visit Taiwan. If they are SkyTeam, then Delta can help get me there. My late father was in the Navy, and spent a lot of time in the Far East. I'd like to visit the places he went to, especially Singapore.

We flew with them in Business Class last year for the first time Sydney to Taipei and immediately fell in love with the cabin, food and most of all, the outstanding attention from the cabin crew.
Looking forward to flying with them again next month Sydney-Taipei-Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh-Taipei-Sydney.
And don’t worry about all the comments about the flower on the tail, I thought it was a hibiscus

Thanks for the closer look at the seats that I unfortunately missed out on when I flew CI back in October. KUL-TPE (77W swapped to A333) and TPE-KIX (A359 swapped to A333. Service was splendid on both flights for me which was a huge plus and I thoroughly enjoyed my flight with them too. Taiwan is a country I visit pretty often so it was great to finally arrive on their national carrier.

Stayed at that Novotel last summer (same view as yours but had to share my room with a giant panda bear) and discovered their wonderful collection of model aircraft across from the Nespresso boutique off the lobby. However for your followers, like the Novotel at BKK, both have just reflagged as Hyatts no longer associated with Accor.

I know he's an aviation geek and flies business and 1st class a lot, but I don't know how he does this for a living. My wife and I just returned back to North Carolina from Sydney Australia and I don't care if I ever see the inside of an airport or airplane again anytime soon. It's going to take days for my coccyx to recover.

What a lovely journey! Your recommendation holds a lot of weight and this honestly made me a fan of this airline. Taipei airport seemed exceptionally smooth. Service is huge for me and your flight seemed excellent. That corridor in the airport lounge gave me Indians jones at Disney Land vibes lol safe travels as always Noel!

Hey Noel, I noticed when you were stretched out in that business class bed your watch I am a watch collector. What's your recommendation I don't use Apple or Smart watches mainly GMT or world timers when I travel. With the millage you do I imagine a watch with various alarms and time zones matters.

Some really beautiful looking planes. Your cheeky self makes it entertaining as always lol. The food on the plane looked like a meal from a restaurant, delicious. Seemed like a really enjoyable flight and that funky disco bus would be great for parties! Great review as always, thank you.

I believe that China based airlines skip rows 1-9 to avoid complications of numbers since 2, 6, 8, and 9 are considered good luck and people would only book these, and numbers such as 4, 5, 7 are considered bad luck and noone would ever book these rows, especially for business class.

You can try Starlux next time if you have not done so. They are the newest airline in Taiwan. They have flights from west coast of US to Taipei and all other flights in Asia. I personally think they are the world-class airline with the best service and food.

I flew China airlines last year and my only gripe was they took 2 hours in Business to finish the meal service then woke everyone up 4 hours later for breakfast on an 8 hr overnight flight.
But everything else was good. Loved Taiwan also.

I was with it right up till I saw that herring bone configuration. I HATE THAT. For me, it's cramped compared to parallel seating. Also, no privacy at all. At least if you get the console between you and the aisle you get some privacy.

Its wonderful being able to travel around the globe. But I feel tired just watching. It must be very tiring constantly taking flights. Definitely not for everyone. But sitting and sleeping in business class certainly does help.

I’ve been on china airlines from London to Sydney, think there a decent airline not that many movie choices I thought, but great service been watching Noel for years now look forward to Sunday night for video upload.
