Love to see Garuda being reviewed again. I flew about 2 years ago the 14 hour flight from Amsterdam to Jakarta in a 787 in business, and the experience was amazing. The crew always shows why they win the skytrax award, just amazing hospitality all round. Also I love the small trays on the side of the seats, really nice to put a phone and drinks down.

I did heavy maintenance on MD-11s/DC-10s back in the 90's for Swissair. We also did machines for a few other airlines. A Garuda Indonesia machine that we got shocked me real bad. We discovered wires for the mechanical controll system that had broken and eye bolts added to the broken ends then tied together with rope! Yikes!

That IFE screen without a doubt has a polarized privacy filter on there. Even the worst LCD screens are somewhat viewable off-axis, but that one was completely dark. Probably for the best, so they can have more adult-oriented movies on offer without concern of a kid sitting next to you being exposed to them.

I never really understood the 330 neo serie, while we have this excellent a350 airplane. Its seems to overlap too much. Why didnt Airbus just upgrade the a330 factory to get more a350 out
