I know it's quite common now for airlines to configure their Premium Economy seats in a 2-4-2 configuration, but I'm not impressed by that. Regardless of the increased pitch offered compared to the regular Economy class cabin, I think I'd feel too squished in, if I was seated in the 4 abreast row and traveling alone. For the extra money you're forking out, you'd still have to climb over your neighbor if you're in the middle. And you run the risk that the people next to you on either side might be armrest hogs. As somebody who mostly travels alone in Economy class, just the thought of spending hours trapped in the middle seat is a frightening one! And for the entire flight, I'd feel peeved that I actually spent more money on a Premium Economy airfare that offered very little more than a regular economy class seat!

The first time I flew SAS inter cont was in 1986, to JFK. Then the DC-10 was the work horse. In the 90s it was the 767. The longest I flew it was CPH-BKK. The config was 198, three pilots and 16 AHs You ask why SAS barely made any money on BKK and SIN with an aircraft that was org ment to replace the 707 from coast to coast in the US. By the 2000s the 767 was replaced by the A-330/340. I flew a A-340 to PEK with SAS. In 1994 I flew an A-340 from LH from ATL-FRA. So now the A-350 will take over from the A-340. Will I be alive for the next renewal? Time will show!

I love that other cultures exist, it's what makes the world such an interesting place. I'm sure people in Asia and Africa think the same and have no desire to see the rich culture of Europe disappear. It's only the globalists who want to make humanity one homogeneous mass; and it's only the self-loathing western progressives who want to encourage our diverse immigrant population to 'celebrate their ethnic traditions' whilst attempting to eradicate the culture of the host nations.
SHAME ON SAS CULTURAL MARXIST PROPAGANDISTS.

OK, just for the record, I used to commute to work by air, and I am JEALOUS!
I was flying in the late 70s through late 80s - MD80/L1011 days. Over a million air miles in 1985, and again in 1987, and every one of those miles was in business or first class, yet my knees were always up against the seat in front of me (unless I could snag the very first row, and after 1986 or so, the food consisted of either peanuts or microwaved shoe leather (flights over 4 hours. Just _seeing_ this has me in a jealous rage!

Just saw this video. Sorry for my late reply. I first flew on SAS in 1956. From Boston to Copenhagen. Yup. Before jets. On a DC-7. A DC-7. How many people have flown across the Atlantic on a prop plane? I was just a kid, but I remember sleeping on a fold-down cot for part of the flight. And being treated to a spa experience once we landed in Copenhagen. Amazing experience that I still vividly remember.

This reminds me of my 5 hour flight on Singapore Airlines's A350 business class, actually super similar seating. I was tired as hell flying economy for the first segment overnight so I couldn't fully appreciate the second business leg, but I remember it was actually nice to sleep in unlike many other business classes on other airlines.

Congratulations Jeb, chasing the sunset in a brand new a350 with Scandinavia, lucky you. what a great mix.
The entertainment could you elaborate in your score here? the tailcamera would be my primary source of entertainment; -)

You can always read a book on most long flights. Usually a bit more stimulating than crap hollywood movies or endless food to combat boredom. But of course attention spans nowadays don't extend to the prospect of reading a quality novel, factual or biography. Ah well.

Can't watch these reviews anymore. You know what. There are people starving to death and you're complaining about the movie selection and scoring food. You need to get your priorities straight and start acknowledging how good you have it. Pathetic.

I wouldn't get caught dead on a SAS plane. As a matter of fact I'm even going to say in my will if I did I'm not to get on that plane, that's how much I hate SAS. Boycott all SAS flights!

Fantastic Airbus A350! Superior engineering by Airbus regardless of model.
Too bad Boeing makes dangerous junk, even Boeing employees are on record saying compromised build issues.

I didn't quite understand what makes the even-numbered seats more private than the odd-numbered ones in Business Class. Can you elaborate please, Jeb?

I wish I had time to fly more so I could build up miles to become a member and get great deals on business/first class seats.

The Airline provided me with a Sony WH-1000XM3, but I still preferred my QC20s flips up one side of headphone while trying to frown

SAS business class seat looks like Philippine Airlines' A350 business class seat. I'm sure you've taken that.
