Reasons To Stay Off Disney Property On Your Trip! Hilton Check In, Everglazed Donuts & La Luce! The Tim Tracker
video description
I think it really depends on what your plans are for your trip and how big your family is. If your family is large it would be better to save money and rent an air bnb so you can have that extra room without extra costs and also save more money by eating certain meals in your accommodation. A single Disney hotel room could max fit 6 people tightly but you would be quickly packed in and anything more then a few days would suck probably.
If you are planning on switching between non-Disney and Disney properties and parks then it also may be more advantageous to stay off property at a more central location to all of the parks Orlando has to offer.
If you are staying on Disney property and only doing Disney parks it is the way to go. We only doing Disney trips for 2-4 days max so it is perfect for us and the connivence is worth it. We go back and forth on the meal plan. You have to really think about how much your family/people with you are going with can eat and if you would rather just put out almost all the costs at once and pay it off more over time vs paying for the room. Some people prefer to have a flat costs vs having to pull out their wallet multiple times a day and again you can pay off the me food costs over a few months. However the biggest complain is definitely the amount of food and it is a lot more then people think. We have done it both ways and again both have their advantages but with our family we found it is just better to pay as we go along because 3 out of 4 of us do not eat enough to make the meal plan worth it. We would have to eat to our maxes for 3-4 days straight to make the cost worth it.

What a gorgeous, humungous room, with a fantastic view! Glad the Hilton had you out to enjoy it! The bathroom scale for your luggage - LUV YA, Jenn! :): ) Everglazed looked really fun, and delicious (sugar overload) but yes, expensive, for sure! Jenn - the Ube doughnut is purple because it's made from purple yams (that's what ube is). Dinner looked FABULOUS! Seemed like more of a Tuscany-type menu, which is awesome! Can you walk to Disney Springs from here? And then maybe catch a bus to a park? Even if not, Id' definitely consider staying here, and just Uber/Lyft if you wanted to go to a park. And I'm an HHonors member, so it's all good! :)
Socially distanced hugs from New Jersey to the 3 of you. Stay safe, stay positive, stay healthy!

Trying to convince my husband to try staying off property, but no luck yet. We have a 2 year old and I would LOVE to do a suite with a bedroom like that so we can hang out while she sleeps. We probably won't go until fall at the earliest, so I'm going to keep working on him AoA suites would be fine, but like y'all said, so much more expensive than a good neighbor place!

Not gping to lie, the room would be worth the pennies if you had like two couple I could totally relate, but. when I go to Russia with work the room reminded of the rooms there, quite cold and not very intimate, everyones taste is different and I get that Im not digging I would just like it to feel more home from home vibe esp for the money

What I learned from this video- Unless you have money to burn-stay away from Disney-lol. Yay for 6 buck doughnuts -over priced average tasting meals an 600 a day hotel rooms that basically your hardly ever in. LOL= this on top of the insane price of admission to the park an risking covid transmission-yaaaay

On YouTube there's a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song video that's an hour long. I know this cause a kid I babysat loved the show and when we were at the store once he had a meltdown so I gave him my phone and he watched the intro over and over and loved it haha

I stayed at the Wyndham Grand Bonnet Creek for a timeshare one time and had an EPCOT view and it was a fantastic resort. Nothing like waking up to see EPCOT and MK (it was way off in the distance) and all of Disney Springs and Orlando from our balcony.

Um, Tim, don't all big name hotels in Orlando have heated pools? All the hotels owned by Universal have them and I saw a few other brands where people were swimming. How can I tell? It was January of 2020 and it was barely 60 degrees!

I predict that with the loss of Disney's Magical Express, many people will stay at a Partner Hotel or off property. The Four Seasons is on property, plus the Hilton Disney Springs, Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista, and nearby Grand Hyatt.

One thing everybody should be aware of with this neighborhood hotel group is on top of your hotel room you get charged taxes of course but then they also charge a resort fee zinger and of course you have to pay for parking.
