1. If your hosts only want to go through their private email - RUN! Only message through Air BnB. If you email them privately, they're off-board and if they split with your money, bye bye money. Also close to doesn't mean easy to get to. One of our Italian ones was close to the train station. they didn't say. if you're an experienced mountain climber. It was almost 50dec C and we had luggage. My advice is to either stay where the host stays in the same place or get the place to yourself. Sharing can get awkward and I got so tired of wiping pee off the toilet seat in one place. And, as everyone says READ REVIEWS. What is important to you? I don't care about parking/driving to the place but transportation, wifi and proximity is important to me. If it's on the 6th floor, is there an elevator? (It's not required in many places, esp. if the building is listed. Talk to people who have already stayed in Air BnB, if they had bad experiences, as them what made it so bad. Maybe it didn't suit them, maybe they made mistakes. Learn from their mistakes (i. e. our mountain climbing place.

I love traveling too (I love Paris, Belgium, Montreal, Caribbean, coastal US cities) but it ain't free and stocks are one way to make money.
, AMAZON:
Yep, I bought a ton on the dip. It's getting cheaper relative to its current earnings (half compared to last year.
. With the Delta virus coming at full speed ahead, pandemic sales will make a comeback.
Amazon's not going anywhere so I know that eventually it will come back.
Fidelity considers Amazon as a large growth company (probably because as big as it is, it still only has 7% of the retail market)
buying via Amazon Smile donations donates some money to my favorite charity too!
Get on board or be runover, it's up to you.

As a general rule, I don't book Airbnb for staying in major cities because of reason #5 that you spoke about in the video. You just don't know if there are city by-laws that make Airbnb illegal at condo buildings. In Toronto where I'm from, the concierge could ask illegal tenants to leave in the middle of the night, and they would absolutely call the police if you refuse. I know that Airbnb is good at listing on the website what is supposed to be the registration number the host obtained to show that the listing is legal, but I just don't trust it.
However, I love using Airbnb for renting a cabin or a small house outside the urban area.

I had a horrible flatmate who illegally rented out our flat, my home, without telling me this would happen. A man travelled from another country to stay with me, got keys to my home and access to all my belongings. I ended up having to call the police because no one would tell me what was going on with this stranger in my home with keys refusing to leave! It was a shock for him too I imagine, but luckily nothing of mine was stolen as he was a genuinely nice person who also didn't understand what had happened. I hope he got his refund off my flatmate.

This is all good advice! Listings that mention never speaking to the neighbors and using a side/back door to avoid the concierge are some giant flashing red flags I have seen with regard to your number 5 point.
We have already started wondering how publicly traded Airbnb will differ from startup Airbnb. It might not change much from the traveler's perspective but it seems like from the host/experience provider is probably going to change as shareholders start expecting to see more and more profits.

Yes, read the reviews, read the reviews, read the reviews. I typically book many months in advance and still follow the reviews. One time the reviews showed that the maintenance of the apartment was being neglected and the pictures weren't showing the current story. Even though I had to pay a cancellation fee, it was worth the peace of mind. I don't choose places that are strict cancellation.

We stayed in an illegal AirBNB in London and only found out as we were leaving. There were red flags but it was our first time in another country and we didnt pay close enough attention. Turns out London has really strict laws about who can sublet and so most AirBNBs arent legal. Definitely check first!

Mr.
We used Airbnb quite a bit while in the UK and generally enjoyed them. That said, wifi speed was a MAJOR factor for us. We always requested speed tests or at least some indication of speed. Very important when you plan to upload videos / livestream while on the road!

Reading the reviews is so critical! And I also never book with someone who has no reviews, or is brand new, since some of them create new accounts or can be scammers. But finding the right one is so great! Thanks for the video!

This is actually more important than you realize. For those that do not want to be forced to take the vaccine (hotels are going to require it and require proof) this may be the way of the future going forward.
