Montana: The Don'ts of Visiting Montana - Wolters World Vanessa: When you come to Montana and camp don't sht all over and leave it on the ground with your toilet paper. Bring a shovel, bury it six inches down and away from the water at least 100 feet. Last year Rock Creek MT had human sht all over, in the creek with toilet paper laying around. It smell horrible and runied a beautiful campsite. Also don't LITTER. There has been an increase in litter and dumping in the national forests. Lastly, don't drive off the designated roads. This damages the plants, can cause erosion, can affect the wildlife and in dry conditions can cause a fire

Is this like the tourists made a video about the dues and donts of visiting Montana? How about a local talking about what to do and dont do? Didnt hear any mention about using it pull offs? Get the hell off the road if youre going to drive 25 miles an hour down to big sky. You can get pulled over and get a ticket for that dumb crap. Or how about driving extremely slow and stopping in the middle of the road in yellow stone anywhere? Thats how car accidents are caused and people work in the park a lot and have to drive through it all season long.

Sorry, Don'ts should be things you SHOULDN'T do. Not things you should not miss out on. That's a DO video. It's not clever. If you want people to click on your videos because you're gonna show them things not to miss, fine, title it that way. I clicked for a cultural education. Miss-titling videos is an automatic thumbs down from me even though you put a lot of hard work into this video and it has good info.

As a Montanan, my biggest warning is that racism is a very real problem here, especially in the smaller cities, the town of whitefish even has an active KKK branch, The only exception being the city of Missoula, which is the liberal capital of Montana so to speak and thus is MUCH safer to visit. The eastern part of the state is generally worse for the racism.

Montana is a bucket list state for me. Ive always been infatuated with the beauty of it, at least from what Ive seen in pictures.
I dont blame Montana locals for not wanting tourists to come through. Honestly most tourists are messy and do not know how to leave nothing but footprints.

Love everything about states like this except for the 1 fact that its too off the grid. And I cant be THAT much off it. When Im retired maybe. Wyoming would probably be excellent for retiring
