Gulf Shores - Orange Beach - A Coastal Alabama Travel Guide Watched this tour again, and I loved it even more the 2nd time. I can vouch for the Segway tour of Gulf State Park - lots of fun. There is a guy at the airport in GS that operates a gyrocopter tour of the area thats really good, too. I flew with him a few years back in a powered hang glider and it was pretty amazing - plus you get to do half the flying. Love touring the islands of Perdido Bay by Wave Runner as well. Saw Jimmy Buffett last year at the Wharf amphitheater, and will see Kenny Chesney there this summer. My girlfriend and I absolutely loved Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, too! Great little beach towns!

Just wrapped up my first week long early September visit to Gulf Shores and this old Kentucky boy enjoyed every single minute of it. The sunny white beaches compare in quality to any others along the US portion of Gulf of Mexico beaches and there's enough local activities, points of interest, shops, great restaurants etc to keep you entertained and wore out for months without feeling over commercialized. We stayed in a top notch airbnb cottage 7 minutes walk from the beach and the same for a bike ride to the Sunliner Diner. I'll will be going back as soon as possible.

Yeah that funny about the public beach not much there. I was born and raised here they have ruined this whole place! The only time you can enjoy of the beaches or water is in the winter. There's to many people (drunk people) to many thongs ( that butt you that I don't want to see! ) I love the beach. Where are the people going to say anything about the natural habits just being pushed away
I hate your videos. There's enough people here now! Just wait till a storm comes again. All these people going to be crying again!

I guess i should have expected it but unpleasantly surprised at how upscale and overpopulated this place was. everything has a charge. boardwalks. parking it seems very $$$$$$$$$ driven. Love your little dog in the backpack! Adorable. Thank you for the great tour but i just marked it off of my bucket list. Looking for peace and far less population to spend a few days. Stay Safe. i do hear they have great redfish fishing tho.

I have a beach house in GS and the only complaint I have is the water is rarely as nice as it is in Pensacola or Destin. If I knew it was subpar I would have bought east of Bama. The restaurant are also ok and all owned by like 3 individuals. Buying in Ft Walton next because of much better beaches and closer to Destin where the food is exceptionally better.

For those that are unaware, The water quality isn't usually this bad. It's normally blue and beautiful but around August every year algae season occurs on the Gulf Coast and turns the watery brownish green for a short amount of time. Also tends to happen right after a strong tropical storm. I don't know when this video was filmed but that's the usual causes.

I have learned the beaches look better now, I have never seen seaweed/sargassum in the 4-5 years I have been going in August every year. More than 18. 8 million tons of sargassum was estimated to be floating about the tropical Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea, the Central West Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico in May 2022

It's my opinion that areas like this are prostituting themselves. They will regret turning their home into a tourist area and giving up the amazing beauty that was a secret only known to them and turning it into an amusment park they can't afford to visit. And yes I live here. Please don't visit.

Really enjoyed this video but some of these things are way too expensive for us poor folks but still it's a really good job it's not worth no $500 for two people it should be more like a hundred bucks you would have to be a millionaire to go on a trip like that but it's still a really good video

You said you can still see the original Fort Conde in Mobile but it is in fact a recreation and not the original fort. It's a 4/5 scale replica built on the original foundation discovered when they were building the I-10 tunnel. The fort was actually completed and opened to the public in 1976.

The legendary Flora Bama! It looks like a few more buildings have sprung up around there: it was a package store in the front and the bar in back. The big deal was the annual Mullet Toss. Perdido Key used to be pretty quiet: lots of Navy people lived out there. Thanks for the memories.

Another excellent video. You mentioned that you spend quite a bit of time with all the details and info on each business and location you visit and the effort is very much appreciated. It's what sets you apart from so many other creators. You excel in the art of promotional film making

Be sure to bring your life savings as this Alabama Coast is one big greedy ripoff. They thrive on the tourist to empty their wallets before they leave. I live there and go to Pensacola Florida to swim plus so much more things to see and do.

500 dollars for a boat tour In Alabama What is Alabama, Hawaii I mean, come on. Don't mean to be sarcastic, but Alabama doesn't come to the mind of most people as a glitzy beach destination. They should have way more attractive prices

This warmed my heart. I just moved from Gulf Shores after spending 19 years between Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. It’s a beautiful place. My new adventure has taken me to the Eastern Shore Of Mobile bay to Fairhope. Great video!

Could someone tell me where along the shoreline of either Florida or Alabama there is a restaurant that has overseas containers for their buildings. I was there years ago and love it but forgot where it was. Thanks

Amazing quality, music, narration, coverage of tiki bars, and info. You & Bella & team always deliver! It’s great seeing other travel destinations that I probably wouldn’t have considered.

Have lived in GS for the last 10 years and wanted to correct a couple things but enjoyed your video so much I feel I would just be trolling and this video doesn't deserve that.

I agree with Tom Skillit below. You put in a tremendous amount of work and preparations in your videos. I have been following you for some time now. Keep doing your thing man!

We always enjoy your work. I lived in Gulf Shores for many years. Such a shame that the Gulf water quality on the Baldwin county beaches was so poor at the time you visited.

Another outstanding travel video! You have the most useful and interesting travel videos out there. I can tell you do a ton of research. Thanks for all that you do.

We just spent 6 days in gulf coast and fell in love with this place. Wish we had found your video on the area before we arrived. Great information for our next year's visit.

Love seeing a local video done! Live in Mobile and have a family home in Gulf Shores. If you love Breweries then Big Beach Brewing in Gulf Shores is the place to go!

I really like watching the guy's videos, he puts a lot of work into it. however the more I watch these videos the more I am sure I wouldn't want to have a dog.

congratulations I had the privilege of living in florida for 1 year and a half and no one makes videos with you explaining Florida, once again congratulations

Please! We don't need more tourists here! Our infrastructure cannot handle all of the influx of people. Even our emergency personnel cannot respond in time!

To everyone that hasn't been gulf shores has emerald blue waters not green. The colors might have been slightly edited to make other colors pop.

Great video! I've been to Pensacola/Gulf shores last year. Coming back in the spring 2024. Looking forward to it. Your information is a big help!

Great place to snow bird during cold winter up north. Some places are gone but others have sprung up, don't miss Gulf Shores State Park
reply

Does the video have a sepia/warming filter The water honestly looks a lot more brown in the video than I’ve ever seen it in real life.

Vacationing here at the end of the summer, and this was a MASSIVE help! Thanks so much for the video. Keep doing what you’re doing
