Savannah Travel Guide - Including Tybee Island

A couple small details to add:
-My favorite thing on River Street is being able to watch the massive cargo ships go by, as Savannah is downriver from the Port of Savannah, one of the busiest ports in the country.
-One great thing about Tybee is that the ocean water is the northern edge of the tropical zone, meaning you get Florida-temperature water without Florida prices. The warm zone ends after you leave Georgia into South Carolina.
-Be sure to catch a show at the Johnny Mercer Theater, in the downtown civic center, the largest proscenium theater in the South!
-Savannahs airport is small and super easy to navigate, basically one straight terminal, and easygoing staff so you never feel rushed.
-Savannahs Southside (South of Derenne) is where youll find most of the common American businesses like malls and car lots, while still in a very forested setting. The Truman Parkway on the East side of town offers a straight shot from President Street (East end of River Street) all the way to the Southern edge of the city and is by far the fastest way to get there.
-If you like Thai food, check out Chiriyas on Victory in Thunderbolt as you head out toward Tybee!
-If you like Pizza (who doesnt) try Vinnies on the West end of City Market.
-If you like Italian, theres a great place on Habersham in midtown called Bellas. I highly recommend it, but it is not in walking distance from downtown so take an Uber or cab.

We have been back from Savannah for a few days and have visited, experienced and enjoyed almost all of your tips. Thanks for that. The food at Vic's was fantastic, but the best tip was Black Rifle Coffee Company. I have been to Italy so many times (we are from Germany so Italy is not far away, the home of good coffee, but yet I have never had such delicious, flavorful coffee as here. Great! When we left Savannah - we stayed in a cozy cottage on Tybee Island - we already knew: We'll be back! Also because of your impressive, informative film. We have been visiting the USA, the country of our hearts, every year for 30 years and your films are always particularly good guides! Top!

I grew up in Savannah. Left about 30 years ago to go to school. I have been back to visit and be a tourist in my hometown. I haven't seen a ghost but my dad saw one. I did have an orb show up in a picture in front of the Boar's Head restaurant. I was enthralled with the places and lore of Savannah when I was growing up. Finally went into the Owens-Thomas house as an adult. Thanks for the video.

I love this video we have done many of the things that are in here. We also like to eat at the pink house and Mrs. Wilkes boarding house those were both very good. I love black rifle coffee as well and get it delivered every month! Thank you for this it’s like reliving my vacation a few years ago.

Oh my goodness the Pirates house I miss it so The Neptunes platter fried or broiled I like it broiled and Tybee Island has a pretty good nightlife also you're making me want to go back it's been awhile I live in Atlanta but Savannah is my second home thank you for the tour

Mrs. Wilkes restaurant is a must stop. Lunch only and cash only but it's well worth it. Also you need to visit the Crab Shack between Savannah and Tybee Island. The location and food is outstanding.

I am turning 21 while I am in Savannah on July 21st and will be there July 20th thru July 24th, I will also want to visit Hilton Head in South Carolina and maybe Tybee Island as well

I love this! It's my second home town. If you do come back to Savannah, I highly recommend the Savannah Bananas game, it's the most fun you'll have at a ball game.

Savannah is indescribable. My favorite city in the south with all the lovely squares, oaks, cuisine. Charleston is lovely as well. Both dripping in history.
