Can You Die From Holding Your Breath? Rinat: Good video as always Christian. I have been suffering from asthma and when I hold my breath underwater, after a short period of time 10-30 sec I am gasping for air. When I didn't have so much asthma and Nostril tetthet I did better. Does Asthma affect in any way? I know you had asthma. I could hold my breath for 1: 30 min while moving easily.
And last what is hyperventilating?

How can you hold your breath for 7 whole minutes! that's insane, I can't even go over 30 seconds underwater, but I can go for about a minute overwater.
