Calories explain what happened after the fact. doesn't help too much for people with health complications or those not on a sh ton of gear. It completely ignores nutrition and quality of food. Yeah, it works, and it's crazy it works so well for basically treating your body like a furnace. which it isn't no matter how much heat your body produces. It's a bit more complicated than that. You may be able to lose weight on twinkies, but after a while, you're still going to die due to lack of actual nutrition.

I just have to mention fat is mainly a factore of insulin and glucose. It's why carbs make people fat and causes diabetes. The more blood glucose the higher insulin is, the more our cells become full and the more glucose needs to be stored as fat (fuel for later use. All of the top insulin experts and the data proves this. Lower the carbs, you lower fat storage, the more you will tap into the fat stores to use for fuel.

Calories are complete BS unless you’re a body builder or fitness competitor. They don’t do anything to explain all the processes going on in the body in response to the different foods you consume. Saying that the same calories in both twinkies and a ribeye do the same things inside the body, requires an advanced degree in retardation.

Ryan,
You had me at fart in your hand and feed it to them
I eat excessive amounts of protein to do just that!
Works real well at the gym to that one guy that is sitting on the machine that you want to use and has one more set
Sitting there finger banging his phonepfagot

Israetel said once that food scientists already calculated the TEF of protein into the 4 grams, meaning that it really has about 6 and you shouldn't assume you metabolize about 3 due to TEF because it's already accounted for. I always thought that was bunk, and, so it is.

We need way more info on this topic! You need to do a longer video please. You're the nerd who likes to dive into this stuff and I'm the nerd who's too lazy to do the research myself, i'd just rather watch while killing a big of chips and regretting my life decisions.

The problem is that, yes, we can do the math, but CICO doesn't help anyone with all of the problems associated with dieting. If you're overweight, and you're eating food, and you're still hungry, the diet is wrong, reglardless of what the calories are.

Calories absorbed vs calories burned is a way better thing to say. In-Out can be misleading. Too many people don’t pay enough attention to macros, which is something people should pay attention to even if not meticulously tracking calories

Also for those who may not know Calories and calories are different. Calories is usually what people mean when talking about food and beverages. Calories is actually kilo-calories meaning for 1 Calorie that equals 1000 calories. Fun fact.

In Ryan’s house, the drywall doesn’t hang on the wall studs, the wall studs hang onto the drywall! In fact, the entire house (framing, roof, driveway, pool, and landscaping) are all dependent on the drywall for strength and stability!

I just learned more from you than I ever did in biology, especially toward the biophysics end. I think I want to go back to school. Thanks.

Eating is overrated though. No need to look too much into eating. It’s just something you have to do to sustain yourself.

protien is not used for 'heating' and you can't love on protien alone. It will be transformed to carbs but if that is smart
