Abs are made in the kitchen? Wrong! Abs are built with resistance and gradual progression like any other muscle. And like all other muscles, removing the unwanted fat that covers them up is what allows them to show. If you can manage to progress in the gym with heavy compound lifts that require stabilization of the spine (squats, deadlifts, etc, while performing exercises that allow you to flex and extend the spine with resistance (cable crunches, for example, you-ll build your abs. Combine that with a slight caloric deficit and some consistency, and that-s a recipe for sharper, more visible abs! Abs Workout #1: Cable Crunches 4x8 Captain's Chair 3x12 Abs Workout #2: Decline Crunch 3x8 Hanging Leg Raises 2x10 Bicycle Crunches 2x20 If you liked this video, you're going to love my video on the ONLY 3 Chest Exercises You Need for Mass

you probably won't see this comment, but if i am just returning to the gym from a multiple fracture broken greater humorous aka the ball of the shoulder 3 months ago and i cannot safely perform most of the compound lifts with free weights even light ones yet so i switched to la fitness to work out because they had a great set of plate loaded hammer strength machines that allow me to safely execute upper body work by keeping me on the right plane and not making my shoulder instability have to stabilize in odd directions free weights entail thus causing me to perhaps drop the weight due to pain. i also joined for the sauna. pool and whirlpool to aid recovery lol. anyway my question is should i make abs part of my regular training now since i have to use these plate loaded machines. i assume using those machines is removing allot of the core from my old free weight workout? say i used to do a basic 80/20 compound lift routine with a day day full body style 5 day regiment. i am now mirroring this but with the plate loaded machines would you add abs to my full body each day now since the core is not being fired as much on a plate loaded machine?

Youre right that abs need training in order for them to look impressive, its the most nutrition dependent muscle group when it comes to how they look. You can have a really impressive and nice looking chest at 20% bodyfat but your abs will most certainly be completely hidden by the fat. in my opinion the most difficult part about having visible abs is nutrition, while with other muscles like chest, biceps, etc. the training is the much bigger focus when trying to look strong.

Abs are made in the kitchen. feel free to swing and see what happens. You know the intent of the statement is you will never see them unless you are eating the right thing (like the round belly power lifters you refer to. People ask me about ab exercises and I tell them pull ups are the best for upper abs and squats and lunges for the lower. They always think I am joking them.

This video helped out a lot is exactly what I need. I'm currently in the middle of a training cycle right now, but I was looking to change up some of the exercises for my next 6 weeks cycle that starts at November. I'm already doing squats, but I'm going to switch out the weighted sit up for the weighted cable crunch oh, and I'm going to add in deadlift and the captain's chair

lmao cute, did you just get out of school? This video is lacking a lot of info.
1. abs = abs.
Core = abs + back + glutes + thighs + anything that is connected to your torso (trunk)
Get your definitions right before you make a video.
Abs have external and internal obliques, transabdomins, rectus.
Great oblique exercise are pallouf press.

It's not -The only 3 exercises- and stuff like that. That is a marketing strategy. In reality it is a combination of many exercises along with proper diet and rest and lifestyle.

Captains chair - you need to point your but hole towards the ceiling(as best you can) otherwise it-s just a hinge movement that does little for your abs.
