The other thing to think about is cardio while bulking. Cardio doesn't burn muscle, but does it prevent you from building muscle? That's another video, I'm sure.
But my response to my own question is this: As long as you're taking in more calories than is required for your body to maintain weight, then you're going to make gains, whether you're doing cardio or not.
Cardio in moderation, while bodybuilding, will simply keep your fat levels in check.

You will lose some muscle when you cut, no doubt about it, granted you'll gain most of it back when you carb up, but if the deficit was extreme your body would burn the muscle for energy, unless perhaps you're at a really high body fat %, I just don't think cardio burns muscle, I think cortisol burns muscle, which can happen if you're stressed, lack of sleep or a need for the body to use the muscle for energy due to an insufficient diet

Because there are different types of cardio (high intensity etc) then this study is okay but not ideal. Sprinters are ripped and jacked, usually. Marathoners are skinny. Therefore high intensity cardio with a good amount of protein and carbohydrates, in your diet, will not affect your muscle gains. It will only make you stronger and your muscles look bigger because you will be ripped. (what do you think, someone reply.

Agreed! However, -keeping your fat levels in check- while bulking does not mean you MUST do cardio. There are many other ways to do this without extra physical activity. On the other hand, some people enjoy cardio or want to experience the benefits of cardiovascular activity. So, like most things, it totally depends on the person and the approach they want to take. Good point, bro.

Being in a caloric deficit does not burn muscle. However, training incorrectly while in a deficit could. Being 10% bodyfat or over and the chances of your body burning muscle is highly unlikely.
The claim that being in a caloric deficit burns muscle to me is little odd considering physique athletes and bodybuilders train for weeks and weeks in a deficit to shed fat.

I think that cardio with weights is how body builders need to do cardio. Bar complex workouts, high intensity low weight workouts. I feel that if you use to low of weight or run alot your Strength Muscles turn into Stamina Muscles which we do not want.

Being in a caloric deficit doesn't burn muscle. (Not in my experience) Otherwise, people who cut would burn mad muscle. And you can cut without burning muscle.
