After damn near killing myself doing hip thrusts I'll never do them again. I flipped my weight bench while performing the exercise.
Split squats don't work for me either. It requires too much balance and I'm spending more time trying not to fall over than I am doing the workout.

I can't do hip thrusts because of my spinal surgery. I hope they come with a bench specifically designed for this excercise on which you can rest your whole back like a decline bench, not just a tiny area of your spine.

Sorry but those hip thrusts that you were doing cannot be good on that neck the way you were doing it- you're going to have severe neck problems later on
