so bad for your lower back. Lying down and repeatedly flexing the spine wears out your discs. When you curl up your trunk in that manner you expose the discs to sheer force. Discs are great at dispersing force but not sheer force. When exposed to sheer, the wall of the disc begins to fail and it is this wall that prevents the gelatinous nucleus of the disc from bulging outward towards the nerves. When the disc bulges out towards the nerves it often becomes something you're acutely aware of

Cool beans. The US Army PT requires you to have hands behind the head. IMO, tougher than crossing in front. The new US Army Combat Fitness Test that is replacing the Army PT you took goes into effect next FY. No more sit-up event. The real challenging event is the leg-tuck event. 20 is max. You start from a dead hang from the commando pullup position and one rep is from the dead hang touching both your knees with your elbows or thighs then back to the full dead hang.

u just lost body fat that didnt do anything sorry. you could do other kind of training even cardio with a calorical deficit and the result would have been the same. also the light is dif. You can pretty much appear to have a better or worst body just changing lights. your video does not prove a thing. sorry. also a lot of people will be trying to do that thinking they will have a result. 1 month is nothing specially for a guy in your muscle lvl.

Your spine was not designed to flex to such great lengths; repeated flexion of the spine will cause tremendous harm to you in the long run. Furthermore, sit-ups are arguably the worst exercise you can do to train abs, as the focus is all in your hip-flexors. Overall this was painful to watch, please do not advocate others to do this.

Challenge can be debatable with the results. I did 200 some days up to 400 sit ups daily over my summer plus planks and other ab work outs daily and didn't reach that point. Not to mention conditioning for my basketball team and the actual practices which involved running. All that and barely progressed: (
