Want to know the best diet to lose weight? Screw the next fad diet, just listen to this. Think of your diet as a bank account. When youre in a calorie deficit, you only have a limited amount of calories to spend every day. So you want to invest your calories for your fat loss diet into foods that are going to bring you the best bang for your buck in terms of keeping you full and satisfied with less calories, as thats what will be key in enabling you to stick to that calorie deficit with ease. When it comes to how to lose fat, it really is that simple. Now, as for the best diet to burn fat, here are 3 rules that you can stick to everyday when it comes to any fat loss meal plan thatll enable you to get the most out of your limited amount of calories. The first rule for a successful fat loss diet is to opt for low calorie density foods. How does it help? One, is that youll be intaking a higher volume of food for less calories, which activates the stretch receptors in your gut to enhance the fullness response. Second, a higher food volume also means more chewing is required and longer meal times, which both also enhance the fullness effect. And finally, low calorie density foods are often also quite high in fibre (e. g. fruits and veggies, which also seems to have an added effect on fullness because it slows digestion. Now, as for the best low calorie density foods, these are typically foods that are high in water and fibre. Next, for your diet to burn fat, you want to keep an eye on your fat intake. Fats have the lowest impact on fullness when compared to carbs and protein, since high fat foods are often smaller in weight and volume yet pack over twice the amount of calories per gram as carbs or protein does. So, my recommendation is to aim to experiment with a relatively lower fat intake thats at least meeting the minimum recommended fat intake everyday (0. 25-0. 5g/lb of bodyweight, and then allocate the rest of your calories more towards carbs and protein. Do experiment with this though as this will vary individually. But just make sure that for the fats you do intake everyday, be mindful of them and measure them whenever possible since these calorie dense foods can very quickly take you out of a calorie deficit which is what matters the most. Lastly, when it comes to how to lose fat, youll want to limit liquid calories. Liquid calories have consistently been found to be less satiating than solid calories. Even in studies where the liquid calorie meal stretches the stomach out more than the solid meal does, the liquid meal still elicits a weaker fullness response than solid foods. Meaning that during a dieting phase it would be a good idea from a hunger management perspective to limit your intake of liquid calories. This means avoiding fruit juices, smoothies, and shakes, and instead opting for their whole food counterparts. Here are the key takeaways that youll want to implement for the best diet to lose weight: 1) Swap higher calorie density foods for low calorie density foods that deliver a higher amount of volume & fibre for a fewer amount of calories. This will enable you to stay full and satisfied with less calories. 2) Be mindful of your fat intake and try keeping it relatively low/moderate. Using these calories for carbs/protein in your fat loss meal plan instead can help with fullness. 3) Limit liquid calories (smoothies, shakes, juices, etc) when dieting. Solid foods generally provide a greater effect on fullness, and blunts hunger for longer. All in all, guys, its vital that you setup your nutrition plan in a way that not only maximizes fat loss, but more importantly in a way that you will actually adhere to and enjoy sticking to everyday. As thats the key to long term success, regardless of the dieting approach you choose to follow. And for a step-by-step program that does exactly that and not only show you what and how much to eat week after week, but also pairs this with a weekly workout plan so that you can burn off fat as efficiently as possible with science, just like countless of our members have done with their Built With Science programs, then simply take the analysis quiz to discover which science-based program would be best for you and where your body is currently at below: FAT LOSS MEAL PLAN WRITTEN ARTICLE

Hi Jeremy thanks for the informative video. I will say that I have been doing IF before it was called late but more out of habit. But this year I have dropped 40 lbs so far with IF and eating only every 4-6 hours. I don't think about food all the time and It has cured me of feeling like I am hungry when I am clearly not and it is just was a conditioned response. The main point I disagree with is over caloric density, I have been eating very nutritionally dense food(of course in controlled amounts) and have been dropping weight -but my micronutrient intake is through the roof, I eat daily, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, along with legumes, eggs, avocadoes, oatmeal, veggies, fruits etc. and my blood sugar has stabilized, i can eat small portions getting more nutrients and my micronutrient intake is off the charts, and for the first time my blood sugar has stabilized. I even eat 4 servings of fruit a day. And delicious real, whole grain and sourdough bread. In short, i get a lot nutrients and have TRAINED myself not to default to thinking i am hungry all the time. If i eat at 10 am i make a mental note to eat again around 3 pm, and then a small dinner around 7 pm. That's it. I don't even think about eating before exercise. For example, yesterday I did a 4. 5 mile walk, 12. 5 mile bike ride, and then 45 minute light resistance band workout in the morning and all this was before I had any food since 7 pm the night before except water. In short, I am a fatty who is dropping weight, eating healthy dense foods, and not thinking about food all the time.

I found that this way works the best. Standard diet > keto > carnivore > ketovore. The gradual reduction of carbs is gonna help your body get used to it. Then when you start stalling, reduce the carbs even more (which is carnivore. Even though he debunks fad diets, these are actually real proper healthy diets that doesnt have any processed foods and Low carb for a reason. The intake of glucose really makes your body crave even more glucose, so these diets help to keep your appetite and cravings in check. For me, if I eat any significant amount of carbs in a given day whether its whole food or processed, my floodgates for carb cravings open and I start to subconsciously gradually increase my amount of carbs aka amount of food for the subsequent days after. So the best way is still keto or carnivore where you have a carb limit to adhere to.

Dr. Sten Ekberg does YT vids; Keto (& low-carb & fasting) isn't only about calorie-deficiet diet, but addressing insulin resistance which is worth considering when it comes to long term success (making the lifestyle change & not regaining the weight) as well as for other long term health benefits. Albeit I have not noticed any work of his addressing bodybuilding & muscle gains. I have noticed benefits beyond just fat loss/control with low-carb, keto & fasting; as long as I keep on the training, & get plenty of protien, I keep gaining while either losing fat or at least not gaining it.

I limit my protein shake to one a day, but I don't drink mine anymore either. What I have been doing lately is adding less water to the shake and make more of a pudding out of it, and then I add wheat bran (or Fibre 1 cereal) which then adds fibre to the meal that is otherwise missing. With some added collagen, my protein intake for my pudding is about 290 calories, which consists of 40 g protein, 30 g of carbs and of course zero fat and zero sugar. I make this my dessert after my main meal, and I find it to be more than satiating.

I am currently in the process of attempting body recomp and lower body fat weight - this guide is amazing. I have just been being very conscious when I eat, but sometimes I end up not in a calorie deficit which completely defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to do. The research and data put in your videos give it so much more credibility. I will incorporate these tips into my diet - I never really thought of fiber as being important, now I do!
If anyone has any other tips for fat loss, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I understand your point here, especially about the so called fad diets, but I think what most people forget is, they are actually very easy to follow once you get going, a lot of us don't have the time to sit around working out all the various nutrients/cals etc, with IF actually having an eating window makes life so much easier, whilst eating bigger amounts of food i. e 5 walnuts to a tub of strawberries = too expensive, as does eating 30 baby carrots to a quarter of avo = boring.

When it comes to eating healthy, you must never fall victim to modern fad diet plans. Extreme diet plans undoubtedly are a risk for your health, especially ones that seriously restrict your every day nutritional intake. Many of these fad diet plans work for a short period of time and then the benefits decrease after a while. It is best to check out Okibetonic Secrets on google as it isn't just another fad diet where you starve yourself.
