Zac Efron-s workout and diet plan are making waves this Summer because of his incredible physique transformation preparing for Baywatch. Along side the Rock, Zac holds his own, having carved out a chiseled body by focusing on 7 key elements of his training and nutrition. Recently, Men-s Fitness magazine published a story about the gains Efron made to get ready for his Summer comedy role. In this video, I am breaking down the most important aspects of his diet plan and workouts to help you to start getting better results from your workouts heading into Summer. I-m also going to take a look back at a former -most wanted- celebrity body (that of Taylor Lautner) to see what went wrong and prevented his gains from being permanent. First and foremost, it is worth noting that neither Zac Efron or Taylor Lautner are heavyweights. Both stand just 5 foot 10 inches tall and weigh no more than 170 pounds. To make his transformation for Baywatch, Efron gained just 10 pounds of lean muscle. The thing is, when you minimize your body fat levels and maximize the amount of muscle your body can naturally carry-you look much bigger than you are. Both of these guys have mastered this. That said, you can-t expect to look better without being willing to put in some hard work along the way. Zac did just this by adopting more heavy weight training into his workout routine. He stated that he never had lifted very heavy or explosive before preparing for this film. A lot of people actually find themselves in a similar position either because they are uncomfortable lifting heavy or just don-t have the base strength to be able to do it. By increasing his strength levels on the basic compound lifts, Efron was able to start adding to his muscle density and thickness. Next he followed a push, pull, legs training split. This workout sequence allows you to train your body more athletically since you train movements instead of individual muscles. The back and biceps are responsible for all lifts in which you pull the weight towards you or pull your body towards a fixed bar. It-s impossible to isolate their actions so it helps to train them together to allow you more recovery time between workouts. Daily ab training is another key to having the resting tone needed to showcase your abs year round (provided your diet and nutrition are in check. Zac Efron-s diet is also covered here as well. By including a cheat day once in awhile, he is able to maintain his sanity and consistency required to keep his body fat levels low year round. So I-m 51 and I have advanced emphysema. Cardio is difficult and an issue. I-ve gotten to the point where I can do 35 min on the elliptical. I lift weights 6 days/week. I went from 248lbs to 179. 6 in 7 months. I probably have 15lbs to go to get to 12%-14% body fat. The diet has been the easiest part. I eat very clean. I try to get 160-170g of protein a day along with sensible amounts of healthy fats and complex carbs. I-m at about 40%-30%-30% protein, carbs, fats. I stay at around 1800-2000cal/day. The thing is, when there is a special occasion-kids birthday, holidays, dinner with a lady, I eat what I want but I keep it sensible. I don-t overindulge like I used to. Small piece of cake, sure, but it-s a small piece. Pasta, absolutely but I pair it with a good amount of protein and keep the portion small. This way, I have no guilt and it-s easy to maintain

I found dieting is the toughest part for either skinny dudes or fat dudes. My body just can't take that many meals in one day even if I break them down, and every time I start training, my weight always drops instead of gains, and it's always my muscle mass dropping. The workout part is not hard for me as a skinny dude since I think I'm skinny because I ran a lot ever since I was little, but my body just doesn't need that many carbs and constantly reminding myself to eat and drink protein shakes. It's really about adopting the lifestyle, and once you don't notice, things change like Taylor said, it goes puff

Bit late to it, but I've come to think of the whole -they use steroids! - excuse.
The average person can see what a big change 40 minutes of going to the gym can do over the course of 6 months.
People can see what a healthy diet does in 6 months.
What does a solid workout and healthy diet do?
Now imagine having 2 to 3 hours to workout 5 days a week, a specialized diet plan that is essentially specific to your body and goals, and having the money/time to do it.
I can believe that Effron and a lot of guys are natty, once that actually gets explained.

After one year, in Zac I see a more mature man whose smart weight training, diet (including legal supplements) and constant daily dedication (including sleep) could achieve these results. I don't see any steroid effects and I know first hand what kind of results I'm looking for with steroids.
Point being, never ever listen to people who can-t get gains because they don't start with the base work Zac did, nor follow through with the same plan and grueling effort. People love to run their mouths with their brains disengaged.

At first I necessarily didn-t enjoy my healthier food. But I stuck with it because the way it made me feel. After a month or two or sticking to things I -didn-t like- I actually started to crave these foods. I crave beans, spinach, asparagus etc. Things I never would have craved before. If you give your taste buds a chance and stick with it for a month or so I promise it-ll change for you.

I was beginning to look like him after a year or 2 of working out everyday you need a balanced of eating healthy taking protein vitamin supplements and workout at least mon-friday. Thats how you get a physique like him. One key importantance to working out is adding intensity to every workout and spend atleast up to 1 hour. At the end of the year 170 lbs like zac efron.

Zac self admitted that he's always pumped for those pictures. If that's the case, there's not a chance in hell that he's anywhere near 170lbs in that picture. He's probably closer to 160lbs. I'll give Zac the benefit of the doubt and say he's 163 at MOST in those pictures. 155lbs-163lbs in 1 year and dropping probably 4% body fat is absolutely attainable.

Training for a year 6/7 daya 1 h per day. Last 8 months following Jeffs advices, splits, cinnamon etc. There is amazing improvement but the way Zac looks after the training his PT showed in another video there is no way to do that without roids. No dont doubt on the hard work but he got the juice too. Just enter a gym and see how many guys look like that.

A MEAL aint the life or food that we want it, but somehow helps gain build muscle after hitting gym workout. And i think Jeff was just trying to say that it was just like taking your Vitamins pills daily, but remember it taste sucks mostly but it keeps us healthy. and i gotta have to love that everysingle day.
