Hi, that's a good tutorial videos, but let me ask you, this (merge shape components) video tutorial can only be done with the version of Photoshop you use, or it can be done with an older version like CS6 Extended which is what I have? Well, I went step by step with your video tutorial, and when making the combinations, in the icon where it shows the different shapes options, all of them appear activated except for this option (merge shape components) which is there but deactivated. Let me know if with the version of Photoshop CS6 this option can be done or not (merge shape components) Thanks for your tutorial videos, they are very helpful.

It's insane how I keep learning new things in Photoshop, even though I've watched a lot of tutorials and use it professionally everyday!
I was actually trying to merge shapes in Photoshop today at work, but was facing a lot of problems and so I made the shape I wanted in Illustrator and imported in PS. PS really needs to get a bit better when it comes to handling shapes!

This video is actually really helpful. Thanks you Umesh for sharing, and I also want to know, is there any possible way to make a rectangle's corners in to round corners, like we can do in illustrator by using direct selection tools. Thanks: )

Hey Unmesh, thank you very much (again) for this simple but effective trick. Thanks for your work on this and all the other videos that helped me and thousands of other people a lot already. :-]

I don't use shapes or paths much in my work (though that has been changing recently) but I still find it valuable to increase my mental toolbox with videos like this. So thank you for that.

Been using Photoshop since 2013 and in every video I learn something new. I don't think I'm ready to call myself graphic designer even if I already earn money as one hahaha

Let's say you make a circular path. It's usually separated in four points. What if i want to delete the space between two points to make an open circular path?
reply

Very informative. Thank you!
If you merge them and then make it into a smart object, then combine them, can you still go back and adjust each point?

Directly jumped on to the point for presentation on the topic without intro!
This video is very helpful for everyone who watched.
Thanks bro!
